Great tasting room with a super friendly staff and lots of great wines to taste. Their wine club is a good value with deliveries twice at year and the option to select red, white dessert or a mix. If you come in from the east on Hwy 46 make this the first winery you stop at!

We loved this winery. Such a great way to spend a morning on a family vacation. Frazier was wonderful and as we had our tasting with him our teenagers were able to play ping pong. We loved the wines so much we purchased a case to be shipped across the country! After visiting other wineries in the area we were truly able to appreciate what a good decision that was. These wines were the best we tried during our stay. After our tasting we walked the property a bit and then sat down and listened to a live band while eating some delicious food from a food truck that was on site. All in all a great day.
Only two things of mentions. There is only a (beautiful) one person bathroom onsite (one women one men). There is also the possibility that a private party can come and take all those cool games you may have planned for your kids to play…away. Our kids were kicked off of the game tables about 10 min after they got on and ended up coming and sitting at a table nearby us while we finished our tasting. Great spot though. Was still laid back place for them to sit.

Let's face it, the reason a lot of us ended up here was because Daou was fully booked. But you. know what? This is almost as nice. Calcareous has above average wines (the 2023 Chardonney was especially nice), a winery on a hilltop with a beautiful view and pleasant ambience. The server was also good. The charcuterie plate however was merely average. Some of the guests on this occasion were also boorish and I felt for the staff but they seemed to handle it with aplomb. With a little work, this winery could be exceptional and like a little slice of heaven.

The vineyards stand alone at an elevation of 2,200 feet on Daou Mountain. This winery is so busy, you have to park your car and take a shuttle bus up to the tasting room. The views are stunning from the tasting room across the rest of the Paso Robles. But take your wallet if you decide to visit here. A wine tasting flight of 5 wines will cost $50.00 per person (no waiver with a purchase). We had two (2) wine tastings and ordered a Cheese & Charcuterie plate ($50.00) for a total of $150.00. We did not buy any bottles of wine.

We had a tasting of six (6) wines. Tasting fee is $25 per person but waived with a $100 purchase. We brought four (4) bottles of the Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon ($56.00 each). You can also purchase a Cheese and Charcuterie Box for $35.00. A lovely place and atmosphere.

Beautiful setting above the vineyard, great wines and great people. Dog friendly and VERY military friendly. Be prepared to leave with a collection of wines, as it is hard to decide on what to take...
Tamara was a doll and was very attentive.

We actually went to the tasting room in downtown Paso Robles because they’re open a little later. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. The wines here are amazing, much better than what we can buy in grocery stores!

This winery had good food, great atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious wines. Enjoyed our stop thoroughly. They had a nice little chef’s garden to walk through and I enjoyed that they were practicing sustainability. I did not try every wine but everything I tried was good and I could easily drink a glass of anything I sampled. My favorite was the blend in the tasting. If you like Grenache their Grenache was good, I don’t normally like it but theirs was good so I assume it was a good one compared to others. I’m generally picky about white wines, their Sauvignon Blanc was good. Not a fan of the other white I tried though, a bit too sweet for my preference.

Our first time visiting and so glad we came. Staff super friendly and very knowledgeable. The grounds were amazing and the views were incredible to sit and enjoy. Very good selection of wine and we enjoyed every sip.

This was the first winery we visited in Paso Robles and we had a two for one wine tasting coupon. Our wine tasting was waved since we brought two bottles of 2021 White Zinfandel ($32.00 each). The winery also has The Inn @ Opolo and a patio that serves food. Nice service and staff.

The wine tasting was excellent - we were driving through Paso Robles and only had time for one winery stop along the way and we were very glad we chose Ecluse. We ended up bringing some bottles back with us all the way to Fiji! The wine was lovely but the highlight was really speaking with the team, including the owner, and hearing how passionate they are about wine.

Great Winery!! We were very fortunate to have Geraldine, as our tasting room host. Beside buying wines, we also brought a FlywithWine 12 Bottle VinEpress Wine Carrier that we have taken on trips to New Zealand and Europe.

We had the “original wine & food pairing” tasting experience.
Sitting outside on their patio provided a nice environment to enjoy the wines from Le Cuvier.
The parings were very tasty and complimented the wines perfectly.
The host was very knowledgable of the wines and vineyards they came from.

We loved Castoro! January is off season for the area and we had the place to ourselves for almost 90 minutes. Amy, our host was awesome, she was knowledgeable about the wines and had a good sense of when to hang with us and when to leave us alone. The grounds were beautiful and I can imagine in better weather, the disc golf and music would add to the experience. Primarily reds but to my delight, there was a very tasty Sauv Blanc and a couple of white blends that were delicious. Many Italian grape varietals blended in different combinations...interesting. When you're going to PR and have to decide from the myriad of wineries, I'd suggest you try Castoro, especially if you aren't going at peak season and you can get Amy as your host.
