- Maui TravelerTurlock, CA2 contributionsI’ve always been curious about the Forestiere Underground Gardens but never had the time to stop and visit. Now that I’m retired my husband and I took a tour yesterday and were in awe of how Mr. Forestiere built his home underground, by hand, using simple tools during the early 1900’s. It is built much like the catacombs in Italy with narrow doorways and tunnels. The tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. The pace of the tour was perfect, about an hour. I highly recommend visiting!Written 2 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Christina KChicago, IL18 contributionsAfter weather changed our national parks plan, we found ourselves w a free day in the Visalia area. We are so happy we spent it at Fresno's zoo! Parking is only $5, and admission was really reasonable. There is a walkabout where you can be really close to kangaroos and wallabies! The Africa exhibit w the rhino, elephants, etc. was impressive. Grab lunch at the cafe and watch the rhinos and elephants. My teen daughter LOVED feeding the giraffes, too.Written 30 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- KitmanOxnard, CA825 contributionsVisiting the area, I road my road bike around to check this place out. Lots of hiking trails; some dirt…you can go for miles! Small ponds & lakes too. There are grills and covered picnic areas to avoid the sun when it’s too sunny. I saw a BMX area and small amphitheater. There were lots of people kicking a soccer ball around, jogging, throwing a frisbee, hiking, fishing, etc.
Needless to say, this is a pretty nice park. But I suspect on really nice days, getting the picnic location you want and the parking, might be a problem if you don’t show extremely early. I saw some gates that were up at some unmanned toll booths…so I don’t know if there’s a fee to get in or not during their peak season.Written 6 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rajiv_Agarwal16Los Angeles, California6 contributionsBlossoms were truly lovely. I would advise to use the trail as a rough gude. Turn off onto small roads once in while and you will find many delightful views. Same blossoms in different locations feel very different. Had a great time.Written 11 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- KitmanOxnard, CA825 contributionsWhat a cool minor league ballpark! In town, I just had to catch the local team. There’s plenty of parking near the stadium, but I don’t the rates as I parked a couple blocks away for free.
I purchased my ticket at their box office window. Prices are better than what I saw online. For the game I saw, the stadium wasn’t very full. Grabbing something to eat or drink was fairly quick. Some lines face the field so won’t even miss a pitch!
Great friendly local fans. Staff too were pretty cool. I liked this place so much, I caught a second game!Written 7 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were lucky when we stopped by, while taking pictures of the exterior, We met Father Alex who gave us a quick tour and allowed us in for photos and prayer. Next time we are in the area we will be sure to time our visit to attend mass at this classic historic church. - FrankDeeTourGuideFresno, CA14 contributionsHave been here many, many, many times. The art is great and the people who visit this place are always friendly and welcoming with other guests. This is a true Fresno gem and the admission is free. It's always a good idea to call ahead to be sure that they're open because they host many concerts and private events and on those days the museum is closed. It was rated top gallery in the Fresno Bee People's Choice Awards.Written 23 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RodFresno, CA1,210 contributionsVisited Island Water Park for the first time, large parking lot, so there is plenty of parking and easy walk to the front gates. We purchased advance tickets and a Cabana so we did not have to wait in line to enter, which would suggest for anyone wanting to attend. Once inside we were escorted to our reserved Cabana, which for us was on the middle island (over the bridge) inside the "Lazy River". We had kid's with us, and they enjoyed the ability to be able to get in the water, ride the slides, and have a place to come back to and relax. We had a Cabana that would seat 6 - 8, which was covered and had a table with 6 chairs and 2 lounges. There are a total of 11 water slides spread across three area's, all but one is individual slide, with one with larger inner tubes for up to six people. There is also a "Wave Pool" and a "Kiddie Area / Pool" so there should be something for just about everyone to enjoy. We went during the week on a Tuesday about 11:00 in the morning and the crowd's were not bad, most of the slides had little to no line, however by late afternoon around 3:00 or so, the crowd's did pick up some. There are lockers to rent if you just want to put all of your stuff inside and not settle at one area. They also have several food and drink locations to get something to eat and drink if desired, or you do not bring your own. If you rent a Cabana, the staff will bring you drinks if ordered, which is nice. During our visit it seemed that the food locations were under staffed, (Covid) and took a bit of time in line to get your food. The overall park is nice, however it is starting to show it's age a bit, so hopefully over the next year or two, they do some painting and remodeling to spruce it it a bit, and make it look a bit fresher.Written 30 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
