Mayon is one of the famous and most scenic volcanoes in the Philippines. It stands almost 2,500 meters tall and is visible from many cities and towns of Albay Province. The best time to view its almost perfect cone is early in the morning since clouds tend to cover it the rest of the day. Great spots to view Mayon Volcano would be the Cagsawa Ruins, the town of Camalig, and the city of Tabaco. A visit to Bicol won't be complete without a glimpse of this masterpiece of nature! :D

This Franciscan, Baroque style church was built in 1587 but destroyed by Dutch pirates in 1636. Rebuilt in 1724 and destroyed again in including the town of Cagsaua during the Mayon volcano in 1814. On a clear day you will see the majestic Mt. Mayon volcano from here. The ruins are quite confusing as you would find it a challenge in orienting where the entrance and altar use to be. Lots of foliage on the ruins during my visit. Hopefully it gets cleared to protect the ruins. The soil feels like compact beach sand but is actually ashfall. Climbing the bellfry is not allowed, but access to the church ruins is.

This place gets busy leading up to mid morning so it is advise to go early. From the main road, it is walkable, trikes are available to and fro this area, nonetheless, those with vehicles are guaranteed a parking space in the area. This is a sight to see once in your life. #RP

It took awhile.2016.But yeah,it was worth the travel.Rode on my motorcycle with a friend, exhillarating, the road is narrow that if you happen to meet a large vehicle, backing up would be difficult. Upon reaching the place, the cold water from the falls is so envirogating.Hopefully,by this time, there is enough amenities like decent comfort rooms and changing rooms.Adventure seekers, must try.

Sad to note that animal cages were so small... maybe the admin should consider expanding them so the animals have ample space

This place is good for walk and exercise. Upon entering the place we saw people walking and jogging. Our group went there thru a van , so we dont have to sweat....but kidding aside, the place is steep. When where about to enter the hill, we saw city lights. It is one of the places where you can have a good view of the city lights.

The Franciscan missionaries established established themselves in this area around 1587. The original wooden structure of the church stood here around 1635 only did it become concrete in 1834. The previous structures were destroyed by fire and war. Today i stands as the seat of the arch diocese and the cathedral of Legazpi. Located in the old district near the plaza and government offices. Beside this area is a fast food chain, milling around this area is save and a good jump off point if your on your way to Cagsawa. #RP

Not the cleanest beach, but the back sand is still beautiful. Water was calm and refreshing which was a nice contrast to the hot sand ! Cloudy day, but otherwise there would be an amazing view of Mayon! Little sari sari store on the beach which is useful.
