Our guide Moses was a brilliant guide and ensured that we had a very positive experience taking home with us memories of a huge array of animals, previously only seen in books and zoos! His knowledge of animals, birds, trees and plant life was amazing!
Simon and the team looked after us really well despite the challenges they faced with punctures and supply trucks. We loved our tents and found the camp beds really comfortable and the al fresco showers and loo surprisingly easy. Having animals so close to our camp made this especially magical.
The river safari in Chobe was a great end to the trip, allowing us to see many of the animals a lot closer up and from a different perspective, and the transfer from Chobe to Victoria Falls went very smoothly.
If we were doing this again, we would add in one or two extra days so that we could build in more 2-night stays during the holiday (we did a 5-day trip). This would make it more relaxing allowing for an occasional afternoon siesta instead of consecutive days of long drives. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed what we did despite being very tired at the end!
A wonderful holiday and one that we will definitely recommend to others.

On this unforgettable 11 day journey we navigated the tranquil waters of the Okavango Delta, up early for daily safaris with our knowledgable guide O.T who prioritises your safety while enriching your adventure all the time incorporating everything the magical savannah delivers. The thrill of spotting native wildlife; lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffe, impala, elephants, painted dogs, hyenas and many more all in the comfort of your vehicle, boat or mokoro. Our meals and sleep were interrupted by the call of the wild, so don't miss this opportunity to create lasting memories as you soak up and sweat the harsh beauty of Botswana, Lastly, a special thanks to our "safari Squad" OT, (guide), Ollie (cook), Election (driver & camp hand) and Freddie (apprentice camp hand). Everyday you rose with a smile, great food and company as we journeyed through Moremi, Kwai, Delta, and Chobe National Park. This was a safari of a lifetime. Highly recommend Walking Stick tours to anyone who is adventurous and truly awaits to capture the African calling. - Imre H1 contributionWe had an amazingly interesting tour with Walking Stick Safari in the Okavango delta. Unfortunately we could not get to Chief Island, since there was not enough water in the river, - but the guys helped us to find an equally satisfying experience. We had mokoro trips and many walking tours in the savannah where we could discover animal and bird life in a close way. Experience of having long walks and discover elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, antilops and birds in their natural habitat without disturbing them was an unparallel experience. Obama, our guide proved to ba an excellend companion guide. During the 3 days we had our private cook Elecion, who was able to serve perfect and delicious lunches and dinners mad all on open fire. In the evenings we had great conversations with the guys and learned a lot about their life and preferences, just as well we told our life. We got good friends in the meantime.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Renae and Paul23 contributionsAfter reading many reviews of companies that operate through Botswana and the surrounding areas, we chose Walking Stick Tours and booked both 2 nights in the Okavango Delta, three nights in Moremi and three in Khwai. It was by far the best decision we ever made.
Phillimon and his staff made sure we had the most memorable safari ever! We started in the delta where we met our local guide Tiger who was the most loveliest and polite guide. He took us on a few mokorro rides and also walking tours, where we got up close to elephants, giraffes, zebras and huge gathering of hippos. He knew the area inside out, and was almost like he knew the animals too, studying their behaviour and keeping up safe from a disgruntled hippo!
After two nights here, we met back up with our guide Phillimon, where we were spoilt for the next week. Within minutes of entering Moremi, we saw a male and female lion up close (actually mating...) and from there it was non stop animals. They were everywhere! It was unbelievable just seeing elephants every few minutes, no shortage of giraffes, zebras, Impala, warthogs - and we were lucky to see wild dogs in action, a few leopards (one which had just hunted), lions and lots of local birds.
After a few days here, we headed off to the beautiful Khwai, and because there is more water here, you get to see SO many elephants. Crossing the river, bathing in the water, drinking, having dust and mud baths - it was elephant heaven. We also had one walk right up and around our vehicle which was amazing. Even if it made my heart rate elevate. More hippos, lions, crocodiles, wildebeest, buffalo and the absolutely gorgeous baby hyenas at their den. Overally, we saw so many babies - elephants, hippos, lions - everyone had young ones with them!
It's so important to use a local guide, Phillimon grew up in the Delta and is so knowledgeable. He taught us a lot about animal behaviour, and spotted absolutely everything - including a leopard hiding in a tree. He made sure we didn't leave without ticking pretty much everything off our list. His staff were also incredible. Chef Ollie - what a superstar! The most delicious camp food I have every eaten, and she even made me a birthday cake! The camp staff were very friendly and efficient and made sure our stay was perfect. In terms of the camp itself, the tent was spacious, the beds were comfy and it was so nice having a hot shower every night!
We could not fault this tour at all. Even when we had a little car trouble, it was fixed immediately - or another car came to make sure we didn't miss out on any game drive time. I saw this mentioned negatively in another review but don't believe it, things can happen with vehicles and it didn't interrupt our tour one bit.
