Beautiful church and packed with history. It was very nice to walk around and it is a must to buy access to the tower. I mean, what a view!!

I was visiting my brother in Jutland, went to Ribe and had lunch at this 'outpost' between land and see. Restaurant is located along Ribe å (river) with a good view of it. Foot was good. I particular like the stjerneskud a nicely arrange mix of scrimp (small) and fried flounder.

This place is stunning! Its is free to enter and look around, although there is a charge to visit the courtyard. Just take some time to look at the details. It was quite quiet when I visited.

An inexpensive way to find out about the history of Ribe, a couple of rooms with information points and a helpful staff member. The people of Ribe are clearly very proud of their ancestry and traditions and it was interesting to learn about them. You only need less than an hour to look around this.

Lovely little church with two entries (according to which way the wind is blowing!)
Model ships hang from the ceiling, common in coastal churches where the congregation would pray for their seafaring folk.
The vibrant purple colour was chosen to reflect the colour of the sea lavender which grow in these parts.

It's only a short distance to walk from the town centre and worth a visit. You have a nice view over Ribe and there's a lovely statue of Queen Dagmar.
You can follow the Energistien from there which makes for a lovely walk.

Walking around the outside of Ribe cathedral, its hard to miss the number of impressive statues. The Statue Hans Tausen is no exception.
Another old weathered statue, now green with age.

The Hans Adolf Brorson Statue is a lovely old weathered statue outside the cathedral, where the copper has aged and corroded to green.

Located outside the Ribe Cathedral, the Ansgar-statue is a work of art.
