    Do NOT miss this! Amazing experience!
    This was the best thing we did in Alaska! The pilots, staff and the whole experience were just amazing! It's expensive, but worth it. Book this the first day you are in town, in case you need to reschedule due to weather (which we needed to!). We went out the first day and flew around for three hours trying to find a place to land, but there was too much fog and we had to head back. We were so bummed. The staff was amazing and able to rebook everyone for another day/time. The next day, the weather was perfect! We landed at Lake Clark National Park and there were so many bears and their cubs. We were able to get close to them (safely). Our pilot was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and easy going. It truly was the experience of a lifetime (and I have been to some amazing places). You land on a beach and there's a decent amount of walking, but it's at a slow pace, so most people should have no trouble. They provide you with these awesome waders, so you never get wet. Pack your food and water and be ready to pee outside and you'll be set!

    Do not hestitate to book with Emerald Air!
    We had a fantastic day visiting Katmai and viewing lots and lots of bears with our two outstanding guides, Erica and Arabella! This was the highlight of our trip to Alaska, and an experience we will treasure forever.

    Erica and Arabella were knowledgeable, supportive, proactive and fun! We were saw many different bears (seriously, we lost count at 10) doing their thing, often from a very close proximity. Adrenaline was soaring!

    We can't say enough about this experience and the professionalism and enthusiasm of our guides. Thanks also to Crystal for giving us her cell when we checked in the day before and Tracy Lynn for the warm welcome before and after the adventure. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would!

    Awesome Chinitna Bay/Lake Clark Bear Tour!
    What an incredible experience!! Our pilot/tour guide (Daniel) was a wealth of knowledge and pointed out numerous points of interest during the flight (including bears clamming on the shores below us!). After a smooth beach landing, we de-planed near a sow and her 2 cubs and were able to walk with/parallel to them before they went on their way. From a distance, we saw many other bears…as well as their footprints and their bed hollows in the sand. We also saw many bald eagles. This was a bucket-list item for me and the experience was far better than I dreamed it could be!

    Rainy weather great bears
    Even though our trip to Alaska was filled with rain Alaska Ultimate Safaris did everything they could to get us to see the bears.
    The staff was very flexible and pilots were great!

    Superb service and great experience
    Absolutely incredible experience! Katmai was even better than I had hoped for, seeing bears everywhere! The views flying across Kachemak Bay and back were stunning. Special thanks to our pilot, Ricky, for making this such a memorable event!

    Combo Trip to both Katmai and Lake Clark National Parks.
    With Stephanie as our pilot, we had the most awesome Combo Tour to both Katmai National Park (Brooks Falls) and Lake Clark National Park (Hickerson Lake) in her seaplane. What an amazing experience to fly over both parks and to watch the bears at Brooks Falls. Seeing them from the safe gated boardwalks and viewing platforms allows you to get real close and watch them devour the sockeye salmon to store up before going into hybernation in november. The trip is from 9 am to 4 pm.
    This is something you will never regret or forget! And thank you Stephanie for your excellent piloting skills and guiding information along the way.

    Experience of a Lifetime!
    Sept 15, 2023, a day to remember! What an amazing experience we had at Katmai NP with Martin of Scenic Bear Viewing. Unfortunately, we experienced a true Alaskan day of rain. We could not see a thing from the plane but we trusted our experienced pilot and he landed us safely on the beach for a spectacular viewing of 17 bears. That's right, 17, some of them up close and personal! As soon as we stepped out of the plane a mother with 2 cubs appeared from over the dunes. With Martin's vast knowledge and experience with the bears, we felt completely at ease to enjoy three hours with the bears. We highly recommend Martin of Scenic Bear Viewing for an experience of a lifetime. Thank you Martin and Sam!

    Great Day for Halibut Fishing!
    Last minute chance to get on a half-day trip to fish for Halibut. Weather was perfect. Had a lot of fun with Captain Dave. He was great! Couldn't have been nicer or more helpful to us novices. He found our fishing spot! There were 6 of us and we all caught multiple fish and got our quota to keep within 1 1/2 hours. Definitely recommend Central Charters for your next excursion.

    Excellent flight!
    We did the 1.5 flightseeing tour. Andrei did a superb job of showing and telling us about all the sights we saw. Epic views as we flew around Mt Illiamna and then flew over bears at Lake Clark.

    Best day ever!
    We went to Hallo Bay in Katmai National Park with Beluga Air. Kelsey booked us in, Wes was our pilot and Dave was our bear guide. It was the most amazing day of our lives! Wes was super informative during the flight and it was the smoothest landing I have ever experienced. Dave got us close to so many brown bears in their natural habitat, and we even saw a wolf. Absolutely brilliant. Strongly recommend Beluga Air and Dave for a Katmai bear experience.

    Great flight!
    Our bear flight was canceled due to in-climate weather , so the owner took us to see the glaciers. The flight was outstanding and our pilot was super informative about the sights. He turned what could have been a very disappointing day into a treasure. Highly recommend!

    Ver pleased
    Met another Van person. He suggested Luke at Beartours. I contacted Luke we set a date. Very flexible to my traveling. Then it rained. Rescheduled twice. No problem.
    I got a solo trip to lake Clark. Supurb. 3 landings and bears on my. Luke knows his stuff. if you want a tri and place with less people, I will give him 5 stars.

    Even better than my high expectations
    My wife and I joined Destination Alaska on 2 adventures this August.

    1) Fish&Fly. Our captain and mate were great. I booked the boat and had 2 friends join us. We caught halibut, rockfish, and salmon - just like we wanted. Beautiful scenery and the boat (Wilderness) is very, very nice. Our pilot (Chris) picked us up and took us for a beautiful ride over glaciers, waterfalls, etc. - wherever we wanted to go. Brown/black bear, caribou, etc.

    2) 2 days later Chris flew us to Brook's Falls for bear watching. It was outstanding. Chris is very knowledgeable - I let him know that I had our kids and 2 oldest granddaughters for a week on the Moraine the prior week (the wife isn't into camping in the bush), so he took the time to fly us all the way over the creek so my wife could see where we were. While waiting for us at the falls (bear viewing was outstanding) Chris bought a book on glaciers at the gift shop and shared it with us on the trip back. Speaking of the trip back, Chris took us to waterfalls, places we could pick out brown and black bear, caribou, etc.

    I can't say enough good things about the entire staff. Booking, follow up, scheduling, shuttle, etc. was all top notch. Chris is fun! We're already planning on going with them again when the younger grand kids get just a bit older. My wife wants to go back now!

    Amazing experience
    I cannot rate this company highly enough. I first made contact when in the UK and staff kept in contact over the following week as we travelled towards Homer. Alison couldn't have been more helpful. Our flight to Chinitna Bay to view bears was spectacular and almost surreal. Amazing bear sightings, Jason is a superb pilot and guide and the service provided by the company was second to none. Thanks for an amazing experience.

    Flight seeing and bear viewing
    We went on a bear viewing trip out of Homer and it was amazing. We met in the office prior to the flight and were fitted with hip waiters and given a safety briefing. The flight there and back was half of the adventure and was truly beautiful with great views out both sides of the plane. Our guide and pilot was Derick and he was great. Landing on the beach was so cool. He made it look so easy, clearly very experienced. We started to see bears from the air before we landed. Once we landed he gave us clear instructions and we were off. We saw several bears and got great photos. The highlight was seeing a mother with 3 cubs. We watched them for a long time. We never felt in danger and were in aw of the animals and the amazing surroundings. A very serene experience like no other!! I highly recommend this tour and would do it again. Thanks Derick and the rest of the staff for an incredible tour!!
