Being able to observe bears in their natural habitat is an experience I will never forget. Although we went late in the season (mid September), we saw lots of bears. Being able to see the bears swimming, fishing, and devouring their catch mere feet away is something I will never forget. - Terri FLancaster, WI25 contributionsWOW!! Highly recommend this trip. Communication beforehand was highly professional. The day of the actual trip we reviewed at the hangar, safety details. The pilot was amazing, I immediately felt very safe in her presence, both in the plane and on ground! The flight itself was worth the expense! I thoroughly enjoyed 'floating' through the mountains for an hour there and back. Once we arrived to Lake Clark it was incredibly beautiful! We were able to see a few bears, I actually appreciated that we had to 'work for it'. - Nomad665014647613 contributionsExcellent trip and crew. Saw lots of birds, eagles, otters. and a humpback whale. Captain very graciously stopped and waited for the whale to resurface 3-4 times so everyone could get a video of it. Third time I've taken the tour and enjoy it each and every time. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Eric and Kirsten were great guides and very knowledgeable about the bears and area. We warmly recommend this adventure with Alaska Ultimate Safaris!

- Greg Vissaquah19 contributionsDave was a fantastic tour leader. The way he handled the logistics of getting from Homer to Hallo Bay showed that he has great experience with these adventures. But his real skill is when we are in the field, seeing the bears and experiencing how they live and interact. He shared his knowledge of bear behavior through his words and actions. I learned a great deal about bears as he spoke and then observing the bears do what Dave just spoke about.
The most thrilling part of the trip was when we would go into the field and Dave would get us to a spot with bears all around us. We would sit and watch bears who were maybe 70 to 80 yards away, START WORKING THEIR WAY TOWARDS where we were sitting. Dave spoke to us in a low, calm voice about what we should do and it was just magical as we watched the bears approach us and pass by close enough for us to see how their hair was matted, or the grass blades they were chewing.

Glenn was an amazing guide and captain - knowledgeable, personable, and very attentive. He catered the trip to what he knew we wanted to see.
Knowing that I was a "birdnerd", he made sure we had plenty of time to spend in the company of the area Bald Eagles.
