Jen was awesome to work with as we had a few changes, Micheal navigated the old switchback road with ease and Duncan was a master air boater. He made sure we had fun but were also safe. He was so good with our 7 year old boy too. We saw lots of wildlife and some of the most remote Alaska back country you can find. Definitely recommend a trip with them!

Captain John and First Mate Devon took us out on a gorgeously sunny and brisk Tuesday morning in August. After a comically slow exit from the Harbor (someone took “No Wake” a bit too literally), we were on a roll across the Bay. John did his best to sight whale spouts from atop the cabin, but alas, none were to be seen. After cruising across some swells, we DID sight tons of birds feasting on churned-up ocean goodies, a couple of harbor porpoises frolicking near the shore, and the largest raft of otters I’ve ever seen. We also had a pleasant, brief short stop ashore at a beautiful (where two fellow passengers got engaged!). My four-year-old was entranced by all the sea stars and shells on shore.

Love the late summer chill on Kachemak Bay… Highly recommend Coldwater and this personable, knowledgeable crew.

We started our last day in Homer with no idea what to do. Stopped in their office on the Spit and Conner was very helpful. He gave us a few last minute options and added us to an already scheduled trip and even contacted the boat captain to upgrade to a bigger vessel to accommodate two more people. It was a smooth ride across to the trailhead and the boarding and disembarking was a breeze. Both the captain and ship mate were super friendly and helpful. Definitely use Cold Water Alaska for your boating taxi/tour needs while in Homer!

We had a very nice trip down Turnagin Arm, to the wildlife conservation center and to Portage Lake . Greg was a great driver, friendly, full of facts and shared lots of his pictures with us. He provided tips on the best ways to photograph the panoramic vistas along the inlet. We were lucky and saw a moose in the tall grass and lots of spawning (spawned out) trout spending their last days floating in the water. Unfortunately did not see any Beluga Whales, which the Arm is famous for, but we did get a moose :).

Trip of a lifetime and memories of a lifetime. Thank you, Trent, for the most amazing experience, truly exceeded our expectations. The flights over and back were smooth and beautiful. At Katmai, we walked over two miles in hip waders, through streams and grassy fields and saw so many bears. Several approached quite close, but we felt safe trusting Trent’s judgement.

We done a short trip and received more information on the local birds than I could take in. Very good guide and excellent boat handling. Will go again.

Once in a lifetime trip! You don't want to visit Alaska and miss out on Brooks Falls! We were able to watch about 8 bears, catch salmon, and interact with each other. It's an amazing experience that shouldn't be missed.

This trip blew away our expectations!! Alaska was absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. Our guide, Cade Castle, was wonderful. He was so personable as well as knowledgeable. We all have adopted him and feel like we’ve made a lifelong friend. We will definitely be traveling again with BrushBuck and be requesting Cade as our guide.

Make this your number one thing to do in Alaska. Yes it's expensive but well worth the thrill of the helicopter ride, magnificent scenery, sledding, interaction with the dogs, and glacier landing. Thanks Bailey for an unforgettable experience!

I never would have believed that any place could be as beautiful as Homer. I have been a beach person all my life, but after my visit to Alaska, I wish I could spend every summer there.

I am going to add a picture of the airbud we stayed at. It was so clean, big, comfortable and the views were magnificent. Also easy to get anywhere we wanted to go.
