Our Vaka cruise was a little rainy and windy but still so much fun! We got to see the beautiful lagoon, sea turtles, and make our way to One Foot Island for some snorkeling and our infamous passport stamp! The lunch buffet was soooo good—trying traditional foods was great! The crew was fantastic, so friendly, kind and provided great entertainment! Ollie was a fantastic guide throughout the islands—we loved our nature walk and learning to live like a local—learning the land, trees, how to husk a coconut, etc! Was fantastic and would definitely do again and/or recommend!

Always a treat to fish and snorkel with Black Pearl!! Every time we’re in Aitutaki we start the visit off with a a half-day fishing (which has always been productive!) and spend the afternoon hitting the best of the best snorkeling spots. Trips are very customizable, and it’s a real bonus to take some of the catch back to the hotel for personal consumption. In May of 2024 we caught yellowfin and skipjack tuna, as well as a wahoo and some incredibly delicious ruby snapper. An hour later we were snorkeling with Giant Trevally without anyone else in sight.

We weren't going to do this tour, but another traveler recommended it to us. So very glad we did this tour, it was well worth it! George was a fantastic tour guide, funny and knowledgeable! Took us to some fabulous snorkeling spots. We visited some neat little islands and had a great lunch on one of the islands. I'd happily do this trip again.

10/10. Amazing day trip, visiting 7 great locations. Two stunning snorkelling sights; giant clams, massive trevally, heaps of tropical fish and a turtle if you’re lucky. BBQ lunch was fresh and super tasty. Very friendly and informative hosts. I’ve done this and the Vaka Cruise, yes theVaka cruise is good, but this beats it hands down. Smaller group, more locations and we got to all the islands before the other larger tours arrived, therefore had the place to ourselves pretty much.

Mike & Paul are just the best people ever! They take you to the island whenever you want and make sure you are safe and can enjoy to the max. The cost is absoltuely minimum and they even took us to some great snorkeling spots when the wind died and we couldn't kite anymore. Absolutely very highly recommend calling Mike (using WhatsApp is easiest) and arrange your transport to Honeymoon island for some of the most amazing kiting you will ever do!

An awesome day out. From the friendly resort pickup by Aunty Rima of Aitutaki Taxis and our delivery to Mona's launching site, right through to being once again picked up from Mona's end of cruise mooring site and delivered back to the resort at the end of the tour, this was one special day.

Captain Dan, Co-Captain Manuel, and Bosun Scarlet-Rose (Captain Dan's 8 & 4 yr old children who wanted to spend the day with dad given it was school holidays, and why wouldn't they??? Island life at its best!!! ) exceeded our expectations and made this day one to remember for all the right reasons.

Fantastic sites and opportunities for snorkeling and photographs were all part of the day along with an awesome island BBQ lunch full of Cook Island delicacies including, tuna, breadfruit chips, paw paw salad and fried banana.

We visited 4 islands including One Foot Island (where lunch was served and also where a meeting had taken place during the 2023 Pacific Forum) and Honeymoon Island.

The beauty of this trip was we were able to see it all without the big group hassles and were made to feel that each spot was 'ours' to experience, pretty much alone.

Dan was knowledgeable and clearly loves what he does for a job (if you could call it a job - just saying Captain Dan 😉).

On this tour you will see all manner of fish species, giant clams, giant trevally, turtles and also a vast array of beautifully coloured corals.

If you are thinking about this tour and are wondering if it's good value for money then don't hesitate to book given it will give you a lifetime of memories that will last way longer than the dollars you spent on the day. Totally worth it - 100%. Just do it!!!

P.S: I'm a former tour company owner and know a decent day out when I've experienced one and this was one of those occasions.

It's real Aitutaki. Nothing fancy, just wholesome hospitality and value for money done in the good old Cook Islands tradition.

Love your work guys and long may you keep showing off your special part of the world to those that are lucky enough to come across you.

    Until we meet again.

We did the land tour with Ted and Rhonda. Great couple of hours with people who care about their island. History, geograpy, conservation, refreshments and lots of humour. Would 100% recommend.

The team were really easy to deal with, we did 4 dives with them. Got to see turtles, eagle rays, lion fish and plenty of tropical reef fish( only 1 reef shark unfortunately) they knew what they were doing. We had a small issue with 1 guy running low on air, but the guide had him with him and got him back safely.

This was the best day of our holiday!
The cruise takes you to some amazing crystal-clear turquoise waters, it was absolutely stunning.
The team were funny, engaging and very helpful. They put on the best lunch at One Foot Island with piles of perfectly prepared fresh fruit and vegetables.
100% would do this cruise again next time we are in Aitutaki.

Great private Lagoon tour, we were able to choose where we went, but obviously took their local knowledge on the best spots. AMAZING snorkeling and great to see the native birds on their own Islands

Mac took my wife and I out on lagoon Tour Visiting a few Islands including One Foot Island and Honeymoon Island. What a super time we had. Mac looked after us so well, we felt totally safe in his hands loved hearing the stories of the Island as well as about his family and culture. The lagoon was so spectacular it was a super time out, well worthwhile and a must to do. Thanks Mac for a great tour.

Awesome friendliness. Small. Went where big boats can’t. I left my phone behind and not a problem they suggested going back. I couldn’t believe it. Anyway we luckily found it beforehand. This was the tone of the whole day.
    Awesome snorkelling too

Wet & Wild are a professional organisation they may charge just a little bit more but they are worth it. The other organisation Aitutaki Kiteboard run by the Lee is exactly that.. Leigh constantly offers himself on the side and very much it is an aged Benny Hill Show.. your girlfriend will be hit upon along with everything else whilst you are out kiting… they may be cheaper… but nothing is sacred, they may think they are a cooler but realistically there’s little professionalism a wake of victims and are more like a bunch of Lions lying in hammocks in the sun… awaiting and playing Mikes well rehearsed games to eventually have you at the back of the coconut trees at lunch time, if that’s your thing.. go for it… but if being used and abused isn’t then personally I would recommend Wet & Wild a truely family non dramatic emotional play off organisation that offers a top notch professional service and guidance

Two couples spent the most magnificent three hours with Captin T on the Lagoon visiting families of turtles, swimming pristine beaches, and the famous One Foot Island. Incredible snorkelling and iconic photo opportunities added to the time, which included fruits and banana bread from Captain T's garden and home.
    Thank you, Captain T!

Only had one day but what a great exoerience. Butch is a fly fisherman and a guide. I think when he is not guiding he goes fishing anyway. Butch likes to wade and sight-fish which is ideal. He does have a good fly fishing boat with a poling platform. I got some and missed some but also saw a couple I was reluctant to cast to! I did and paid the price. A great day out and highly recommended.
