It was my first week in Costa Rica so it was a great way to immerse myself into Costa Rican life. Had a great time learning about how they keep their farm sustainable and the food was so amazing! I highly recommend

A great place to learn about indigenous cultures of Costa Rica. The people at the store were able to answer all my questions regarding about the crafts and cultures.

We used Costa Rico Travel by Amanda. Stayed in La Fortuna for 5 days and Tamarindo for 5 days. As it was our first time visiting Costa Rico we didn’t want to rent a car.
Amanda arranged all our shuttles and excursions. Everything was on time and guides were knowledgeable of the areas. Recommend the white water rafting trip class 11 to 111 and the combo tour of 1968 hike, waterfalls and hanging bridges in the Mistico rain forest. Also catamaran trip in Tamarindo. Amanda kept in touch with us daily as to shuttle times and excursions. Would 100% use her again. Pura Vida!!!

This August, I visited Academia Tica with my father. I speak some Spanish and he has never learned Spanish before. It was our first time traveling in Central America and we were only able to stay for a week. My professor was Alejandra and she was quickly able to assess my level and help me get back into a rhythm with my Spanish. She created a realistic learning plan for one week and helped me prepare for language I'll need on an upcoming trip to Mexico. My father's professor was Susana. She did an amazing job working on his pronunciation and equipping him with basic phrases for our upcoming travel. We opted into the interactive program, so Susana planned activities for us each day. It was fun to have a guide for sightseeing and to practice Spanish in practical situations.

My father and I had a phenomenal time and I plan to visit again for a longer stay. I learned to make empanadas and swam in a waterfall thanks to Academia Tica. If you're hesitating on visiting the school in Coronado, don't.

We travelled to San Jose, Tortuguero, Sarapiqui, Arenal Volcano, and Jaco beach with Jove (Juvenal Sanchez) and had a fabulous time. Everything was booked and organised for us and we felt very well looked after, this is especially important to me as I am travelling in a wheelchair. Jove was very knowledgeable about all the wildlife, plants and trees in Costa Rica and always tried to ensure we saw as much as possible. He is a very experienced guide, and is aware of all the accessible routes/restaurants/experiences in Costa Rica. It is a very beautiful country with so many colourful birds and flowers. An amazing experience, I would highly recommend this company and our fabulous guide.

Boreal River has perfected the 5-day Wilderness First Responder course. Their partnership with Coast to Coast Adventures was excellent. I am a Physician Assistant with 22 years of experience in Emergency and Orthopedic medicine. I learned A TON of practical skills for responding to illness and injury in the wilderness.
The transportation by raft to and from the site was down the beautiful, wildlife-rich Paquare River. We stayed in gorgeous, rustic accomodations and were treated to delicious, nutritious food every day.
This course is a MUST for anyone wanting to guide others in an outdoor environment or just wants to be prepared for anything on their own adventures.
