#1 of 4 Nature & Parks in Dauphin Island
Though it is self described as a bird sanctuary and is very popular with bird watchers, it is a great little nature walk in general.
The nesting birds and beautifully kept park is strictly first class in every way!
#2 of 4 Nature & Parks in Dauphin Island
This is a pleasant stop for anyone interested in nature and conservation.
Since it is part of a research facility, this is not an extravagant "aquarium", but if you have children who are interested in aquatic life and nature, this is definitely a must stop.
#3 of 4 Nature & Parks in Dauphin Island
If you go to the one by red school house, be sure to go around and park on other side of picnic tables in parking area or the walk is super long through the hot sand otherwise.
Lots of fun to be had and lots to look at, nature that is.
#4 of 4 Nature & Parks in Dauphin Island
It only took us 15 minutes to walk through the park, interesting history and some great photo ops with spanish moss hanging from the trees!
There are some humongous live oak in the park also that are breathtaking.
