- Arjana C1 contributionI was in Rugova mountain almost a year ago with my friends. The rugova mountains had an extraordinary view especially in the morning. I would definitely recommend this for a weekend getaway.Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeff1304Woking, UK71 contributionsThis is an excellent place to come to and unwind. The park is extensive and offers a variety of levels of walking. The High Germia path is around 10km but worth it if you are fit. My advice is to take walking sticks if you have them because parts of the path are frozen even if all snow has disappeared at lower altitudes. The No 4 bus from the centre can take you to the entrance to the park.Written February 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Beatriz MDĂĽsseldorf, Germany5,710 contributionsReally beautiful and impressive, absolute must do when in Peja or surroundings, the waterfall is very big and strong! As I cannot drive, I took a tour from Sky Hostel in Peja and we visited the waterfall. It is not necessary to pay entrance, just park the car (which apparently also does not cost) and then you can walk to the waterfall, there are different viewing points. Also there is this part with metal railings as mentioned in another review, it is not a must do but you can take some nice photos from there too (even though a bit scary). Loved it, wish to stay in the hotel by the waterfall next time!Written May 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LilianCardiff, UK16 contributionsMeandering across europe in our Moskvich estate with small trailer we somehow ended up in Pec. Camped overnight in city centre with a squeky waterwheel !!
\The whole town was dug up, laying pipes of some sort so we did not cross back across town to fill up with petrol at only etrol we saw.We headed north having no information apart from michelin map
Rugova road was mainly gravel with no barriers, tunnel was there but NO developement at all. We eventually passed the village before climbing over the Cukor pass. There was a hut selling food on the top.By this time we were short of fuel , so coasted down for 3/4 hour!! till first petrol in montenegro
Such a stunning place, totally unexpected, no traffic and being before the war such a friendly place WE did 4000 miles in total but this place was our favourite day this trip was in 1978Written January 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are a few trails and you can walk to the makedonian border. The views were breathtaking with Prizren and Pristina in the distanceWritten September 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Erleta H1 contributionLast time I visited Mirusha was winter. We usually used to watch waterfalls as they flow , but not often we have had the opportunity to watch them seem frozen in time, when I was there I amazed. The frozen water produced unusual, but spectacular, water forms. The shape of the fang was indescribable.
It has beauty in warm weather as well as in winter. However , the big adrenaline starts on the trails which are more difficult for beginners.
If you're not used to the adrenaline rush of altitude and climbing, you'll definite sweat and your hearts will beat faster. But once you reach the waterfalls and upper lakes, you will be left speechless for a moment by the natural beauty awaits you.
Swimming in this place is definitely an indescribable feeling that brings you only pleasure and freshness - a perfect way to spend the weekend.
Therefore, I invite you to visit it at least once, you will not be disappointed.Written November 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was a 30 minute drive with the drive itself an adventure with a lot of rash driving involved. We made it in one piece to the caves. There is an entrance fee of 2 euros per person. The guide did not speak English but was very polite and tried using Google translate to let us know the key facts. The caves were marvelous and it was quite an experience to see all the structure that’s had formed over millions of years. The temperature inside is a pleasant 13 degrees and they were illuminated nicely. The taxi cost us 35 euros there and back including a stop at the monastery and waiting time. The Taxi driver was polite and haggling over the price helped. I would recommend the place for a visit.Written May 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tissa.travelsRotterdam, The Netherlands2,265 contributionsNice cave with some small bats and pretty stalagmites and stalactites. The walkway is pretty well lit, though not everywhere so mind your step. Located a couple of stairs above the white drin waterfall (turn right after crossing the waterfall at the top).Written September 3, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jim HEurope3,461 contributionsLike any mountains, Luboteni Mountains are beautiful, natural beauty with many amazing views. I saw a tortoise and several snakes, so admiring wildlife is a possibility. There are many winding roads going through the mountains where you can appreciate them in case you're not hiking through the mountains.Written September 10, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Milot H2 contributionsLast month I and my friends decided to go swimming at the batlava lake. But we didn't expect to find there so much more. Beautiful nature, high-standard villas, 5-star restaurants, and most important clean areas.
Places that impressed me the most were
Restaurant Adriatiku and Batllava Premium Resort. The service there was great, better than expected, and the warm welcome from each member of the staff. The lake was clean and it wasn't too noisy. It was quiet and peaceful. You could sit there and relax for hours listening to the birds singing. You could take a boat and enjoy all those special views, especially the sunset. After all the prices were standard and the money was worth every penny. I suggest this place to every person.
Going with friends, family, or your partner. It fits every kind of ambient you want.Written November 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gordon WBroken Hill, Australia1,579 contributionsThis is Kosovo's National Crystal Museum - albeit most of the mineral samples on display are only from the Trepca mine. But they are stunning.
The museum curator (Shaip) is very proud of his collection and keen to show the highlights. Unfortunately you will need a translator.
Most of the exhibits are labelled with the mineral type and the location from which it was sourced. There is no other explanatory material available. We didn't find that a problem as we knew what we were looking at. But in any event the samples are simply stunning.
There is also a great 3D map of the mine to see.
The Trepca mine is one of the continuing sore points between Serbia and Kosovo. It has some 28 million tons of minerals still to be excavated. If you want to know more about it's history and current political situation, a quick google search will help. Otherwise just enjoy the beautiful mineral samplesWritten August 6, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
