- Czar EmmanuelManila, Philippines10,311 contributionsThere are actually three national museums close to one another in the Rizal Park area ... the National Museum of Anthropology, the National Museum of Natural History, and the National Museum of Fine Arts. Each has its own particular collection. You can visit any of them depending on your personal interests ... History, Art, etc. Entrance is free. They are closed on Mondays. They do get a bit crowded on Sundays. Queues can also be quite long and slow as they manually register guests. Collections are well-arranged and properly labeled. Some galleries are closed. Lighting system can be improved. Perhaps they need to add more elevators to give visitors easy access to the upper floors. Parking is a bit of a problem as there are very limited slots. Lastly, they could put up souvenir shops and nice restaurants as well.Written June 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ElleManila, Philippines323 contributionsI visited on a rainy Sunday. I like the ambiance of the church and the cafe inside the church premises. I like how the cafe could be a venue for prosopals and how the staff are willing to participate and help preparations for such events.Written June 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - doctorfoxtrotTaguig City, Philippines13,227 contributionsBefore the pandemic , this used to be my go to mall , for shopping , dining or just relaxation. With lockdowns and restrictions, I noticed several restaurants and shops closing down. Now with the laxity of measures , mall goers are slowly increasing by the numbers. But no changes had been made. No modifications, place becomes more dated . Lastly it is very much less cooler. I don’t like the dining ambience. Compared to the Power Plant Mall , it pales with the opening of the Grid food market.Written April 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert GauntSaskatoon, Canada2 contributionsI thought it was an impressive building my only critique is that there is no mention of evolution ( only changes over time )
Very disappointing keeping this from the population
You get a sense of how powerful the Catholic Church is in the Phillipines

- rachell aHouston, Texas, United States189 contributionsMy husband and I vacationed with my sister, brother-in-law (BIL), and my parents during the Christmas holidays. One of the sites we decided to go to was Intramuros in Manila. I am sure glad we went because it is a beautiful experience. You learn about the country's history through interesting pictures and summaries.
I would recommend coming here if ever in the area. It is a beautiful museum and interesting to learn about Philippine history.Written February 3, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We made our way to the National Museum of Anthropology by cutting through the National Museum of Natural History and walking halfway around Agrifina Circle. We climbed up the grand stairway to the portico entrance and were required to present 1 government-issued ID for our group of 6. We were directed to the ground floor to have our belongings deposited at the baggage counter. Free admission.
There are basically 3 out of 5 floors to see and explore. We casually walked around, focused on select artifacts that caught our eyes and read up on some every once in a while. Same with Natural History, the museum pieces are labelled in English except here in the National Museum of Anthropology the long, detailed texts are completely bilingual: English and Filipino. Highlights of our visit include the huge "banga" ceramic jars, "Sarimanok" mythical bird, "Kulintang" musical instrument and "Baybayin" traditional script.
This museum is clean and well air conditioned with spacious washrooms on every floor. The galleries are well curated. It was not as busy here compared to Natural History but then we visited on a Tue afternoon. Some in our group stepped on inconspicuous tape marks on the floor and the guard immediately told them to move back. Just put rope barriers, okay? We left after an hour and headed next to the National Museum of Fine Arts.Written August 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
