No doubt Philippines is paradise, but Woola made the difference I selection of the best locations and hotels, local guides and overall supervision at all transfers and check in for internal flights and boats. We had a very late change to our transfer pick-up location, and Guide to the Philippines responded to my email incredibly quickly. They coordinated with the transfer provider to update the pick-up location and promptly confirmed the change with me. It was perfect, from the communication and booking to the driver and dive operator. - Carolyn1781San Francisco, CA6 contributionsThe day started at 11am with breakfast at the Tanlines Lounge. I opted for the continental breakfast, but they also have a choice of Filipino. The food was good and setup nicely.
Next, we rode a Jeepney (my first time riding a jeepney!) to Intramuros, the famous walled city of Manila. Thankfully it wasn’t too traffic, as the ride isn’t air conditioned. Dustin, our awesome tour guide made the ride enjoyable by giving us a background on the city before we got there.
At Intramuros, we went to the San Agustin Church and Casa Manila - our tour guide was incredibly well informed and explained a lot of how our history has affected and formed how Filipinos are today - it’s a great cultural experience for both foreigners and locals.
We ended the tour at Batala bar with craft beers and ice cream.
I HIGHLY recommend this tour for anyone wanting to learn more about Philippine history and culture in just an afternoon. Travelled to the Philippines in April with my boyfriend and utilised Destination tours for our island tours in Coron and El Nido. Booking was seamless and everything was so affordable and well organised.
