Looked forward to revisiting the museum again on our shore excursion and no regrets. Just a fabulous collection of religious artefacts, vestments, liturgical vessels, bibles, paintings, statues, furnishings, etc. through the centuries. The palanquins that lined the corridors last visit were in the external covered walkways being readied for a religious festival, others were being built and decorated with colourful cloth and various statues of the Virgin and saints. Still no photography allowed inside but I was able to get a few photos of the palanquins outside. The tour was informative, our guide very knowledgeable but I'd prefer time alone for some hours to browse and really appreciate the collection and the decor of the building interior.

The National Museum of Anthropology in Manila is a fascinating destination for those interested in Filipino culture and history. It houses an extensive collection of artifacts, textiles, and ethnographic exhibits that highlight the country’s indigenous heritage. Notable displays include the Manunggul Jar and ancient Filipino writing systems, offering a glimpse into the past. The museum is well-organized, informative, and free to visit, making it a great place to explore the rich traditions and craftsmanship of the Philippines in a quiet, educational setting.

My husband and I vacationed with my sister, brother-in-law (BIL), and my parents during the Christmas holidays. One of the sites we decided to go to was Intramuros in Manila. I am sure glad we went because it is a beautiful experience. You learn about the country's history through interesting pictures and summaries.

I would recommend coming here if ever in the area. It is a beautiful museum and interesting to learn about Philippine history.

I am a proud Filipino. Going inside to the Malacanang Palace and Presidential Museum was fun. I learned more about our past and current Presidents of this country. Mind you all that if you want to have a tour, you have to send them an request letter through their website and wait for the confirmation. And just follow the house rules inside the museum.

Located on the north wing of Lucky Chinatown Mall in Binondo, the World's oldest Chinatown. This museum's educational exhibits will take you back in time with well captured replicated scenes from the American occupation to World War II and beyond.

This clock tower was built in the 1930s along with Manila City Hall. It witnessed the tragic events of World War II, particularly the atrocious Liberation of Manila in 1945 that claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of both military men and innocent civilians. The tower itself was heavily damaged. Thanks to the initiative of the former mayor of Manila, Isko Moreno Domagoso, the structure was restored and converted into a museum. It's now open to the public, offering them not only a glimpse into the city's history, but likewise a breathtaking 360° view of Manila from the tower's 7th floor. There's also a small café on the 3rd floor. Job well done! It's really worth a visit! 😀

Located in an old but renovated house in the Malacañang complex, this small museum offers you a glimpse into the private and public life of the current president of the Philippines. The exhibits are very well arranged, with very informative captions. The whole museum has two floors, with a souvenir shop on the ground floor near the exit. Entrance is free. Somebody guides you as you make your way through the museum. I just wish that they had a parking space for visitors.

If you're into Philippine history, particularly into the country's political administration, then this is one place you should visit. The early 19th century mansion has been converted into a presidential museum. Various memorabilia and paraphernalia associated with every president of the Philippines, from Emilio Aguinaldo to Rodrigo Duterte, are on display. Those associated with the current president of the republic are on display in another museum, at the nearby Bahay Ugnayan. There's also a gallery for the nation's first ladies. The exhibits are interesting and well presented. The mansion itself looks lovely, especially from the outside. There's a parking space in front of it, but it's reserved to the museum's staff and employees. It would be great if they allow visitors also to park their vehicles there.
