Such an amazing experience! I did the Half Day Tour through Intramuros - my guide was Cedhie! I ended up being the only person in my time slot, so the tour was private one-on-one! Cedhie is an incredible guide. He was knowledgeable of all the history and sites, and also made me feel like a part of the conversation. It felt like being shown around the city by a new friend. The bikes are comfortable and I felt safe being guided through the streets, even when we had to cross in traffic. The stops cover all the main sites in Intramuros, and because you are on bike, you can cover way more ground in the time than on foot. At the end of the tour they even gave me a cool towel to refresh myself, and a scoop of the most delicious coconut ice cream! If you’re traveling alone or in a group, highly recommend this experience. Ask for Cedhie!

Lovely tour, the guide was very informative and fun. Saw alot of interesting sites: WW2 memorial, Jose Rizal monument and memorial, and saw many sights in the old walled city. Ended the tour at a great gift shop. Even though its already a 4 hour tour, I only wish I could’ve spent more time at each location, every spot was so interesting. A great way to spend a morning or afternoon.

We learned a lot of Philippine history in this four hour tour. Mostly it was a walking tour, but included a short horse cart ride around the circumference of the walls. In addition to visits to the Jose Rizal Museum and the Cathedral, we also visited an ice cream truck. This was a most welcome respite on a hot day. Our guide was most helpful and even helped us arrange a taxi ride back to the hotel.

We rented a van through the sightseeing tour for the day or actually for 2 days. We had 6 of us in the travelling party & wanted to show some of the party the Tagaytay sights. We stopped for Lunch & then proceeded to have a driver tour of the Tagaytay region. It is well worth the effort to travel here. Its about 90 minutes from Makati. The views of the lake & volcanos are spectacular. The views as you drive down the side of the mountain are amazing. We returned via Cavite & it was a great route to take with exceptional 'photo opportunity' spots along the way. Well worth the effort & a nice break from the craziness that is Manila Metro.

Great experience to get to know the insights of Philippine’s food surroundings by visiting a local market, and seeing the variety of fresh products was incredible and exciting!
Isi was a great host but also a great cook! We cook by utilising fresh ingredients and everything was delicious:).
Isi is kind, professional and I would strongly recommend to explore this tour. Great for a solo traveler but I am sure that a big group will have fun as well! She can also adapt to your eating habits, fish, meat, vegetables, etc. It was a memorable day, thank you Isi!

My partner and I did a weekend hike in the rice terraces outside of Banaue. In the lead up to our trip, Uncharted Philippines was very helpful and responsive and we felt very well prepared for the journey.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the overnight bus ride to reach Banaue from Manila is tough going, but that is out of the control of Uncharted Philippines. Our guide Jody met our bus in Banaue and took us to a local inn, where we had a good breakfast and left our suitcases before heading off.

The rice terraces are incredibly beautiful and Jody, a local of the area, gave us some really interesting insights into the farmers' way of life. My partner and I are both reasonably fit and still found the hike itself quite challenging, but ultimately very worthwhile.

Educational and interesting! Make sure you know if you’re booking the express or regular length version. Would recommend to anyone visiting. Plus you get a free ice cream at the end haha.

I visited with Greg and Oscar at the end of March. I only had two days in Manila, so my time to learn about the city was limited. Choosing to take the cooking class turned out to be the best way to use my limited time to learn about the city. Greg has a beautiful old-style colonial house. We were having such a good time talking with Greg in his living room that we delayed the start of the cooking class. Greg is very knowledgable about all the history of the area and helped us to understand some of the origins of the Philippine culture.

Oscar then gave us a nice class about how to make Chicken Adobo and a Prawn Stew. It was easily one of the best meals I had during my stay in the Philippines.

If you are able to take this class, you will get much more than just cooking. You will learn a lot about the local culture and history as well.

We had a great visit with Greg and Oscar and it helped us to feel at home in Manila.

It was so cool! Trip from Manila is kind of long, i think its 2.5hrs away, but you see a lot and if you have a good tour guide for the ride, they educate you on things and its worth the drive. The actual trip to the waterfalls was really cool but mind blowing what these guys do to get you there. You start out in calm waters in a very skinny kayak. Youll have a guide in the front and back of you. They make their way up river paddling. But when you get to the rapids, these guys are nuts! they constantly half in and out of the kayak, Literally kicking on rocks and pulling you UP the rapids. It must have been so tiring. it was such an experience to see these guys do this. the falls itself was really cool once you get there, you get on a wooden raft and they just pull you into the small cave and then bring you back. My opinion is that the ride up was the experience, not the falls at the end. The surrounding rain forest on the way up is beautiful and never gets old to look at. You sort of just glide back down. We ended up tipping the two guides quite a bit, we just couldn't believe what they just did for us. I highly suggest this as something to check out, i would do it again for sure if I ever went back.
