- Victoria MSan Francisco, CA4 contributionsSilahis is an incredible shop that feels more like a museum of Filipino art and culture. They offer an amazing selection of handcrafted, one-of-a-kind/ one-stop-shop for souvenirs and artwork from across the Philippines. The staff are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, sharing the fascinating history behind each piece, including details about the artisans, the regions they come from, and their cultural significance.
The prices are very reasonable, making it easy to bring home meaningful mementos. Whether you're looking for unique gifts or simply want to immerse yourself in Filipino culture, Silahis is the perfect spot to visit before leaving Manila. Highly recommend!Written December 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I picked from the catalogue for white lilies...a stall asked for 800 pesos... I was not happy knowing that fellow tripadvisors already tipped off on the pricing range so I settle for the next stall. It was 300 pesos for a dozen pink roses... I know you can get them cheaper there but I settled for that. Did not want to waste time haggling.Written November 1, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Patrick RManila, Philippines53 contributionsThis is treat for the lady's and some gift shop stuff for the guys. It is not easy to find but lots to see while looking lots of shops in area and market in the streets around it. Air con inside and well organized. Beads of all kinds from gemstones to glass. Best to walk from Quiapo church and take a map or guide, the area is quite busy with lots of street vendors. Half the fun is getting there.Written September 12, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ViksterLondon, UK103 contributionsI have been here on two different visits to Manila and bought quite a few things each time. I find the pricing frustrating:it seems they deliberately over-inflate the marked price to make you happy with the discount.
Anyhow, there are things that I didn't find anywhere else, like the embroidered fans made of banana and coconut fabricsWritten October 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. 1. It is hard to find due to lack of information.
2. It is hard to know the actual name, is it 98b (the collective on the 2nd floor) or market that is on the ground floor?
3. Even the guards on site does not know about what they are guarding.
My thoughts is that the market is the real thing to see here. However when we visited (Saturday 4/2-17 at noon) only 3 artist were open and the 98b (museum) were closed.
This could however be a very good idea.Written February 4, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
