This museum inside the Kremlin has an excellent, varied collection of Russian artifacts - dresses from the Czarina, weapons, armor, Faberge eggs, etc. You will probably have to get a ticket in advance whereas you can easily get into the rest of Kremlin and churches without difficulty the day of your visit. A Kremlin visit is a must-see when in Moscow and this is an important part of a Kremlin visit.

The Archangel Cathedral is one of the major Churches inside the Kremlin on the Cathedral square.
Contrary to the Uspensky Sabor which was used for coronations, at this Cathedral the royalty was buried until the 18c, when that ceremony moved to the new Empire capital of St. Petersburg.
Stunning interiors with no photography allowed.

While the Uspensky Sabor was used for coronations and the Archangel Cathedral for Royal funerals and resting place, the Annunciation Cathedral was used for aristocracy every day private life - baptism, marriage ceremonies,...etc.
Pskov and Rubliev worked on its construction and decoration and Rubliev is also buried here.
Like in all others, the interior frescoes are gorgeous, but no photography.
At the entrance is a small store with souvenirs and religious items. Prices were cheaper than in souvenir shops in the city.

Needless to say, the Kremlin is Moscow's number-one attraction. I visited it in July and must stress some really important things to keep in mind to avoid disappointment.
Firstly, it's the seat of Russia's president, so security is very tough there. Visitors are obliged to leave everything of a size larger than a handbag in a left-luggage room before entering the fortress (prams are allowed). Every damn person is screened at the entrance. No pictures, no videos in any form, and quite a lot of restricted areas. Secondly, if you go on your own, please explore the Kremlin's site (it has a page in English) well in advance as to the way tickets should be bought and to what attractions, check working hours, and be prepared for hordes of people irrespective of the season. Thirdly, remember that there'll be practically no chance for you to grab a bite or even buy a bottle of water once you're inside the complex (toilets are available).
If these recommendations are adhered to, then your visit there will be fantastic. Otherwise, it might be a drag.

The museum is very compact, but well organized. Interesting way to present information is a great advantage. Numerous classes for kids are also quite popular.

This church and palace is one of the many amazing sights in the Kremlin, but probably a bit overlooked compared to the others. It's considered a "minor" cathedral and contains a museum.

We did a pcr test to be able to enter museums. We were able to enter different attractions as the rule is 3 days validity. However, we were so disappointed that the guards of this museum did not accept our pcr saying they will only accept 1 day validity! That’s not what the government say.
