    Went here for my husband's family affair and I've been telling him I want to drop by red square and he was a little reluctant cos he's been telling me it's full of tourists and is always packed. But i've been wanting to go since I only see this place on the postcards his used to send. I didn't regret going here, btw. We walked around and I had a big smile on my face the whole time.

    Standing in Red Square for the first time, absorbing its vast size and grandeur, is truly remarkable, especially when the sun illuminates the golden minarets. However, turning your gaze to the far end and discovering this unique and quirky building is truly special. Whether day or night (preferably both), it's a must-see. Once inside, it's fascinating; although quite dark and seemingly small, it holds a very poignant story about the architect, adding to its allure.

    I have visited a lot of countries around the world but I have not seen clean metro stations look like Moscow metro stations , and each station has different stiles than the other ones .

    This museum is a treasure trove of Russian art by Russian artists. I loved the Vareshchagin hall which included his most famous central Asian paintings of war and death. Many of the most famous Russian paintings are here and there are some spectacular ones. This is one of the best art museums in the world. Vasnetsov's Bogatyrs is incredible. I really liked "The Rooks have Come Back" by Savrasov. There are a bunch of great forest scenes by Shishkin. If you are a Vrubel fan then you have to come here too. This is a definite must-see museum in Moscow. Since it is devoted to Slavic art I would probably rank it the top must-see museum.

    The Kremlin is a great place to visit, definitely a must-see. The churches are beautiful, the Armoury Museum is great, and it is cool to walk around a place with so much Russian and Soviet history attached. If you see nothing else in Moscow, you have to see the Kremlin and the Tretyakov. Get a tour guide here as there is a lot of history to hear about.

    I criss-crossed that park with my wife in early September. We spent the whole day there.
    Yes, it's sort of far from the centre, but the place is easily accessible by subway (really one of the best in the world!) and somewhat less so by car, due to intensive traffic (which is much friendlier on weekends, by the way).
    Do choose nice weather, whatever season it is; it's the key to a pleasant stay. We did, and we enjoyed every minute of it!
    Kolomenskaya metro station has just been reopened after a thorough overhaul (Kashirskaya too); the highway bordering it on the west is covered with brand-new asphalt; lawns are reformatted; all underground crossings are rebranded. So, the multi-annual renovation had been at last completed, literally just days before.
    The park is charming and very well maintained. Key attractions have already been mentioned here, so I'd just add that it's quite often that various zany festivals, festivities, open-air games, etc. are organised there on weekends. Thus, do check in advance on their site (it has an English and even a Chinese page), please.
    Parking alternatives are huge, and there shouldn't be any problem leaving one's car there, sometimes even for free.
    Due to its enormous size, one may feel that toilet and café/restaurant facilities are scarce in some areas. Do bear in mind. I'd also recommend taking a walk through its distant, wilder part, which is closer to the Moskva River. Privacy will be superb!
    Strongly recommended. Just take an umbrella with you and wear comfy shoes.

    This museum inside the Kremlin has an excellent, varied collection of Russian artifacts - dresses from the Czarina, weapons, armor, Faberge eggs, etc. You will probably have to get a ticket in advance whereas you can easily get into the rest of Kremlin and churches without difficulty the day of your visit. A Kremlin visit is a must-see when in Moscow and this is an important part of a Kremlin visit.

    If you are looking for a place to experience a unique atmosphere, then the traditional place is the perfect destination. With a wide range of brands to choose from, you can find something to your liking. I highly recommend you to try their ice cream and watermelon, as they are both delicious and refreshing.

    Most famous #1 theater in Russia which completely lives up the expectations. Ballet is superb and the best in the world, while opera may raise questions.
    Practical tips for your visit:
    Book tickets waay in advance, it's very hard to get;
    Theater has multiple entrancies, it will take some time to find yours;
    Taking pictures is officially allowed during the breaks;
    Wearing elegant clothes is recommended but black tie isn't obligatory, especially for the daytime shows.

    After two years of renovation. And it is brilliant!
    Still, for a common tourist, this hill is better to be visited as a sort of la cerise sur le gâteau, i.e., to crown his/her sightseeing tour of this great city. Even more so by night.
    I did just that - in February, at about 9PM. That slope packed with skiers was brightly lip up, the viewing platform gave a spectacular panorama of evening glittering Moscow and the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic!
    Strongly recommended!
    (Do explore parking opportunities in advance if you plan to drive up there. Still, the best way to reach it is by subway - a clean, quick, reliable, convenient, cheap (!!!), safe and customer-friendly means of transportation everywhere in Moscow - surely one of the best in the world!)
