Definitely the best 1-day experience in Boracay. The thrill of cliff jumping into beautiful water. Great atmosphere - fun people, super helpful staff, great bartenders, delicious food and perfect vibes.
I went here for the first time about a decade ago. It's still amazing. And I can't wait to go back again. Boracay experienced major changes before and during the pandemic - I am SOOOOO happy this place survived. I recommend it to everyone who visits. You just have to do it.

Lovely, lovely people and great English speaking guides. A realistic return to the not too distant past living conditions of rice farming communities. An important reminder of how fortunate we are and a glimpse of the culture, creativity, and immensely hard work of all members of the family contributing to the well-being of all, especially the young and old. An important addition to your travels.

Always love to walk here whenever we visit iloilo. There are people fishing in the river too. And the place is not so crowded. There are some people jogging and walking around but not so crowded.

Went for 7 nights - the sea is nice and warm and shallow depth for a good distance for non swimmers (children etc ). Nice beach gets very busy just before sunset .

Can be quite annoying constantly being approached every 2 minutes on people selling tours - seems like locals also join in and must get a commission also . ( no escape even in the sea ). I would like to see plastic being collected and waste more - lots being blown into the sea .

Overall good experience - personally 3 days would have been enough for me .

The complex is clean and security is high. Police and security guards are on site and probably available when needed.

Located at the old areas of the city, this street has a lot to offer: neoclassical buildings, shops, fast foods restaurants, busy traffic, etc.

It is more authentic here! I enjoyed my visit.

We briefly stopped here to take its outside pictures. My driver/guide informed me that advanced reservation is needed. One could not just show up and expect to be let in.

Learned that entrance fee is 250 pesos per person! This is quite exorbitant!

We decided to move on. Perhaps, I could try again when I’m back in the city.

My question is: Why can’t it be open daily and for free?

In this one-stop-shop building we can find the different government officer of the local city government. It has a mini museum at the first floor and a set of solar panels on top making it friendly to both the tourists and the environment. In its building apex rests the monument of Lin-ay Sg Iloilo (Lady of Iloilo) which was sculpted by local artist Ed Defensor. Th place is usually crowded with people having regular transaction. I expect that it will become so crowded and overused in the next years to come that an extended or additional city hall buildings may be needed to declog the area. In general, this city hall is something that every Ilonggo can be proud of.

We were able to secure permission to use the function hall as the venue for our event. What once was known as the Capitolio or the Provincial Capitol has now been turned into a special events place. Reminiscent of what it used to be, lie remembrances of its heydays in the restored columns and the garden at the ground floor. Picturesque chandeliers and windows of the hallways at the second floor speak of the era when the building was first made. I could still remember what it was like when this was actively the Capitol until the fire that forced the construction of the new one behind it. Though I'm happy with the new building, Casa Real brings back memories, still. I still feel the nostalgia coming out of the main entrance and seeing the fountain of the muses right at the kilometer - zero of Iloilo City. Taking pictures is allowed, as long as you follow protocol and get the right permissions. The place is very close to Days Hotel and SM Delgado, A grocery is just nearby, too. A few meters away is Museo Iloilo. Next time you visit, do drop by.

Highly recommend a tour of Villa Lizares, which can be arranged through the nearby Cafe Año (which is a great place to stop for coffee before or after!)
Fascinating history, beautiful architecture and a super knowledgeable guide (thank you, Miggy!) - a must for anyone visiting Iloilo.

I was visiting Leon for its town Fiesta In November and took time to explore this church. Wide facade from the road, and a welcoming coolness on the inside. Very festive in that the altar and sides were decorated for St Catherine’s Day.

Nice altar with a statue of St Catherine of Alexandria in front of it.

Worth a visit to what is probably the most prominent landmark in Leon.

As we drove Guimbal, I could not help but to continue saying “ wow” after seeing the artistic yellow rays of sun along the road.

The plaza itself has the same types of fencing. There is also a fountain here.

Facing this Plaza is the beautiful Municipal Building of Guimbal. On the other of the Plaza is Catholic Church.
