- delight gCebu Island, Philippines39 contributionsUntouched and beautiful! Unspoiled!
Boat trips from Naval might change from time to time, so be sure to check day before you go to Marapipi. From Marapipi, we rented a boat for P300/4 persons, twas a nice ride. We paid P100 for the entrance fee at Sambawan Island.
Overall, the beauty is very overwhelming.Written 6 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Basically only 2 accom. options being Evershore or Dak Dak Beach Resort. I stayed at Evershore as it was a short walk from the port but if I was traveling with my partner I would stay at Dak Dak.
Evershore building is certainly showing its age. I contacted via fb to enquire about room availability as no information is provided on their fb page. I was advised and subsequently booked an aircon room with no TV. I booked over 4 months in advance. I had to lodge a 50% deposit to secure the booking but I paid the full amount for 2 nights. Turns out there are different room configurations to choose from. As I understand, all/most rooms now have TV but they were still waiting on having the signal/connection sorted out when I stayed. Service is indifferent.
Overall, Evershore served its purpose for me. I don't have high expectations when I stay at places on islands as they all have their logistical challenges.Written 13 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The boaters were friendly and the boats itself gave a cool vibe to the trip. You have many options like snorkeling, walking the beach, swimming, and having a picnic too! There’s one island that has a snack stand with fish balls too.Written 13 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - juliabebu8 contributionsI can say we are lucky enough to have the island with less tourist around. We have explored and appreciated the whole Island for at least a 20-minute walk. It also has a marine sanctuary at the back part. I really hope the local government would maintain and find ways to preserve the Island’s Beauty.Written 14 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - thelostsypsy128 contributionsLove this Island the only thing bad about it is it doesn’t have restroom! But I still love the place fine white sands!Written 23 April 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Deborah C3 contributionsWe went for Mass followed by grilled fish on the beach. Then swimming in the clear blue warm sea and walking on the soft white sand to pick coconuts and collect shells. A boat trip around the islands and more snorkelling, a perfect day!Written 26 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Beverly APasig, Philippines38 contributionsMy friends and I went here last April 24 to 25. I was so disappointed that Sunday since people are so jam-packed and the place is poorly maintained. Trash is everywhere. We saw junk food wrappers , floating remains of watermelon, people washing their dishes in the sea, liquor bottles, etc. The water was not clear and you'll see how dirty it is. It's also hard to find a place to camp since there are already lots of tents when we arrived (12nn).
The cave is stunning. I suggest you find a very reliable footwear since the rocks are too slippery and sharp most especially on high tide. The water is warm and the cave will give you a rest from the heat of the sun. (Just watch out for sea snakes! -I haven't seen one there but during our stay, there was a time when people ran out of the cave because of it.) On low tide, you'll get to appreciate the big slippery rocks and the water at the end of the cave.
Since we stayed there overnight, I experience being there on a weekday. Less people = less trash. The water was crystal clear. The shore was very amazing. It's the cleanest beach you'll ever imagine... It's a place where you don't wanna leave. I highly suggest you go here on a weekday so you may experience the peace and beauty of the place.

A peaceful place away from the crowds. A place where the beach is all yours and you can walk around the island in a day. Untouched white sand beach where locals are either on their workplace or hanging around the beach doing some handcrafts or just merely chitchatting.Greta for kids as well. They offer cottages for rent but there are no restaurants around thus, you need to bring your own food or you can just bring things for grilling/cooking and buy fresh fishes from the locals and grill there as what we did before. It is a perfect place for camping too. Looking at the starry sky and listening to the waves while your feet is touching the cool sea water.Written 8 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Franc CPortumna, Ireland327 contributionsThe first two stops on the Cuatro Islas tour are Himokilan and Apid (see photo of map below).
These two islands are nice for photos but, because they are inhabited islands, they are nowhere near as nice as Digyo or Mahaba.
I’m glad I visited them because I wanted to get aerial photos of them, but if I was ever to return to the area I would ask the boatmen to skip these two islands so I could spend more time on the stunningly beautiful islands of Digyo and Mahaba.Written 21 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The people are disciplined enough with regards to maintaining the cleanliness of the place. will visit there again when my schedule permitsWritten 21 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VictorianladMelbourne, Australia16,942 contributionsThere has been some local government dispute about this island.
In addition to the P60 per person environmental charge payable at Inopacan for visiting Cuatro Islas and the P2500 (small) or P5000 (large) bangka rental charge (with crew), this island levies a P500 per bangka fee even if circumnavigating and not stopping off.
As a result we decided not to visit, but instead gave our patronage to the other three delightful islands.
