Visited as part of a private city tour. Very interesting tour with a guide who knew her stuff (and spoke impeccable English). Fascinating glimpse into Spanish/Filipino life from the last couple of centuries. It was also good to bring to life several stories I have heard about such life from my visits to the Philippines over the last 35 x years.

Visiting the Taoist Temple in Cebu was such an amazing experience. As soon as I arrived, I was immediately struck by the peaceful atmosphere and the stunning architecture.

The prayer halls were serene, and I found myself taking a moment to reflect and connect with my spirituality. Lighting incense and making wishes felt incredibly meaningful and personal.

I always like visiting the local history points.
This fort was interesting but could be made to be something special with some more attention and tidying up.
There is limited history points but could be more.
However it definitely is a must see in Cebu.

The view is indeed breath taking, has the view of the city of Cebu. A coffee shop" Le Vie " was a good stop over on this tops road overlooks also of the city! This coffee shop appears like a french shop, with "french like" pastries, etc. The tops road is a long drive to the top, well worth it, it has excellent views.

Magellan's Cross in Cebu, Philippines is a historic and symbolic landmark that holds great significance. Standing in front of the cross, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and reverence. It's a powerful reminder of the arrival of Christianity in the Philippines and the beginnings of a rich cultural heritage.

Cebu Ocean Park is a fantastic destination with a mix of educational animal exhibits, and stunning views of the the sea creatures. Visitors can enjoy a variety of attractions suitable for all ages. The park's commitment to conservation and environmental awareness is commendable, adding an educational element to the entertainment. Overall, Cebu City Ocean Park offers a well-rounded experience that combines fun, learning, and natural beauty, making it a must-visit attraction for families and thrill-seekers alike.

Apparently, this is the oldest Chinese house in Cebu and I was told “most is original”.

I am sceptical, the floorboards like more like 35 years old not 350 and nails were not around in the 1670s. The owners, I mam told, stay at weekends, but hard to see quite where since their bedroom looked very unoccupied.

One uncomfortable moment was in the garden where there is a harpist, who for a few peso, will play a little, at which three young children- aged between 4-7, dressed in traditional dress wake up (or are woken) from dozing in a nearby room and rush to perform a series of whirls and swirls. They don’t look happy and I felt this bordered on child abuse.

The harpist told me these were his children, so does this make it ok?

Beautiful flower garden but not much accesible that we rented out a taxi just to go there as they refused to drop you. Entrance of 60 and instagrammable sceneries will not fail you.

We were surprised this house is located in an old warehouse but don’t let this fool you. Inside you find a nice house with a lot of information about the area, historic Cebu and the history of the family that once lived here.
We had a well informed and enthusiastic tour guide who explained everything very well.
    Worth a visit!

Someone recommended seeing this Monument and Yap house a stones throw away. Great place to start sightseeing of area.

Didn’t do any research previously, but was fascinated by the size and the characters depicted. They look like bad ass Warriors and I was the only one there . Only about 5 minutes to look at and then make your way to Yap house!

The experience is quite shocking, a beautiful palace under construction, but with limited access of the facility. I arrived early, but there seems to be some chic and fancy restaurants, both on the plateau and in the basement (not sure of food quality, or if they are running). Beautiful for sunrise, and very quiet in the mornings.

There is joy st not enough tables with seating ( & even less during wet weather ) at Sugbo Mercado IT Park

Then the next hassle is choosing what you’ll like to eat & drink .. as there’s so many delicious food kiosks to choose from

As I notice .. Woman I don’t recommend wearing high heels , as due to the rocky pathway

if you plan to achieve that 10,000 steps in a jiffy, this SM mall is the place. you'll lose a lot of calories just by a single round of roaming the elliptical path showcasing different stores and services.

this mall also boasts of a view that could readily take your breath away. couples can just loiter at the stairs and watch the sun set at the sea view wing. no argument cannot be resolved by the panorama up front. a little to the left if the new majestic bridge that connects two cities in a matter of minutes.

just wait til dusk and this mall becomes a show of lights. amazing!
