- Gene R JSilver Spring, MD9,113 contributionsWe visited Asia’s largest bone museum today, taking a taxi($3.50) 7km south of the SM SM Lanang Mall.
After paying $8 for 2 seniors, we were given a 30 minute guided tour by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide who studied Economics before Tourism. The 700 specimens all died of disease, old age or ingesting plastic/trash in the case with many of the marine specimens.
The goal of this museum is education about marine pollution.Written February 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AativasIndia127 contributionsTo begin with, the museum has moved to Juna Subdivision, near PWC. They will be here for next two years - according to the staff.
This was my third attempt to visit the museum. First attempt in June failed, because they were not yet open at the new place. Second attempt in September failed because I went on Sunday, and it is closed on Sundays.
There is no entry fee. The museum is very small - only 50 objects displayed. However it opens a window to Davao city and helps to understand the city better. It gave me leads on what I need to explore more.
When I had some questions regarding the musical instruments, the young guide was available to answer it. There is an audio-visual (set of six or seven video clips) which is informative.
Overall good experience. I hope they will expand.Written October 5, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - TawengMdDumaguete City, Philippines268 contributionsI love this place.
I went to the place when it was just beginning to open and not too many people also.
I did not enter the first stall but looked around.
I went inside the BELEN store - managed and I think owned by the charming elderly lady plus two other younger ladies.
I was the first and the only customer in the store. I was prepared to haggle but she already gave me a good price so much lower than I had in mind.
So nice.
I will surely Come back when I will be in the city againWritten October 20, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. In the Philippines, I have learned to dig a little deeper and broaden my knowledge to fulfil he same desire to learn about things. Museums like this are really quite interesting, detailing the history, crafts, and early peoples of the area. The exhibits are good quality and offer many beautiful decorative and functional objects. If you take a taxi, consider holding the taxi until you;re finished because the museum is set back some from the street and the area is not quite as urban as other parts of Davao.Written April 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - curlylocks2018Butuan, Philippines28 contributionsShakey's Pizza in Gaisano mall in Davao City was excellent pizza and onion rings. House blend tea was good with ice. The menu had a great selection of different items to order. Server and waitress were friendly.
Would definitely go back.Written October 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This branch of SM has a wide variety of shops, restaurants and activities to choose from. Major retailers are actually here, considering this is in Mindanao and far from Metro Manila; the place is not so upscale, and is very modern.Written April 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John TCebu City, Philippines1,068 contributionsAs tourist, I am more drawn to the beautiful collections of older churches in the Philippines - but what this one lacks in age, it makes up for in rich, spiritual experience. The paintings on the walls, stained glass, and other painted panels are a testament to the love and dedication people have for this church. The altar area is beautiful and simple. Sunday mass was heavily attended! I could have sat in one of the nice wooden church pews a longer time, but I was trying to see other features in Davao.Written April 28, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mackibey88 contributionsThey have sweets, snacks, trinkets, clothing, accessories. You'll sure to find something pasalubong-wise to take back if you're pressed for time. The prices are reasonable. I saw a similar top they were selling Roxas Night Market here cheaper by 100. IDK if there was a difference in cloth though or quality.
There are different sellers here so if there's something you didn't find at one person, the vendors will direct you to someone who might have what you may want.

- Jp travelManila, Philippines115 contributionsI was searching for a nearby spa and trip advisor recommended this facility. At first i was hesitant to go due to the reviews of the tourists who visited them. The reviews in the app is different from google. Anyways heres my comment:
1. Booking - 5 stars. Ms Lyka receptionist aside from texting , has called me to confirm about my schedule and is responsive to my queries. best to book your appointment via text since their Lanang Branch is often full.
2. Facility- 4 stars bed sheets smells ok along with their CR. its clean, brand new, the ambience is relaxing. Music background is relaxing as well.
3. Service : 4 stars the masseur assigned to me listens to my request and is well trained specially the massage both for foot and body combo.
4. Cost: Value for money: 4 stars: you cannot avail a 2 hour massage for Php800 anywhere else. Its a thumbs up for me
5. After massage: 2 stars : the Hot Tea is already cold when served to me which is disappointing. And hot towel to wipe off excess oil.
All in all- 4 Stars - highly recommended for travelersWritten October 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Very small place but can accommodate a lot. Good pika-pika too. The narrow stairs can be dangerous when you have too kuch to drink or in an emergency.Written November 16, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
