    I highly recommend divers.ph.

Jordan, Pattrick and Sean are really professional instructors and if you want to learn diving from Scratch, divers is definitely your best option to doing it.

We went to Anilao for the diving in the ocean, in Planet Dive and the experience was Outstanding

I was very careful in selecting a dive instructor to re-certify me after 40 years of not diving and also to certify my wife for the first time. We chose Alex for the PADI open water certification and we could not have made a better choice. We discovered that he previously lived in our building in Makati and he even offered to do the pool sessions at home... It was serendipity! His teaching style is excellent; he picks up on students' apprehensions and works one one one with the student to address them. The comment that others made is that they feel that they are in a private lesson with Alex, even when there are other students in the session. He is thoroughly professional, patient, flexible and instills a sense of calm and confidence in his students. He's also very knowledgeable about his profession and addresses questions with confident answers and detailed explanations... And makes sure you understand. Safety is paramount. Our group consisted of my wife and me, both sixty-something Canadian/Americans now living in Manila, an American with the US Army and a young 14 year old boy from the Netherlands. Alex easily adapted his teaching style to accommodate our diverse backgrounds. My wife teaches educators and she has nothing but good things to say about his teaching style.

I was NAUI certified in Canada in 1974 and had one of the most highly regarded instructors at the time. Alex is a cut above them. Not only does he know about his craft, he's also dedicated to ocean habitat conservation having worked for conservation NGOs and shows his profound respect for the environment where he enjoys and practices his profession.

The equipment he provides for student use is extensive and is included in his very reasonable fees. He will let you try out different styles of BCDs, regulators etc. so you can get comfortable with equipment and then you can use that equipment for the rest of the lessons, including the open water dives. He even lets you try out dive computers for the open water dives. The equipment is in excellent condition and well maintained.

He picked us up at our residence in Makati for the drive to Anilao for the weekend open water dives. Once there, you don't even have to think anymore. It's well organized and his people seem to know what you need or want before you even know it yourself. He'll offer you a choice of resorts to fit your budget. His former students will commonly join certification dives and will help beginners during those dives. That indicated to me that with Alex, it's doesn't end with the certification.

(I could only pick one answer for the question below. Although I chose "Couples" I would have selected all of them since our group was very diverse)

My wife and I are now not only PADI re-certified (I lost my NAIU card years ago) but we've had a wonderful and amazing experience doing it with Manila Dive Academy. We have new friends here in Philippines and we consider Alex not just our dive instructor, but now, after just a few days, a friend. High praise indeed.

I have done a few technical courses with Karl through Pro-Tech Philippines. Professional, dedicated and passionate about ensuring diving is safe and fun for everyone! It is not just about ticking a box to complete course requirements, it is about you as a diver understanding the theory and really mastering the skills. The best thing is that this is all achieved in a very interactive manner, lots of discussion and information shared, quite often way beyond what the course requires, but all to help you better understand what you are doing and why!! Can highly recommend exploring the world of technical diving with Pro-Tech!
