As a catholic we also make time to visit a church for our prayers wherever we travel around the world. This is one of those amazing and beautiful cathedral we’ve been. It’s where you can cleanse your mind, body and soul. Parking is not free and you’ll be charged 10 pesos for the first hour and a 100 pesos penalty if you over stayed.
The only worse thing is the public toilet when they charge 5 pesos per use and the toilet is so gross, dark and dirty! I wonder if the church administration tolerates this kind of condition and I’m sure it will be a worse experience for foreign tourists.

Housed in the Laperal White House , which has been renovated to its grandeur, on Leonard Wood Road, in Baguio City is Joseph’s. A restaurant supposed to be fine dining based on local’s experiences. However, while the food and presentation were a feast for the eyes these were negatively offset by the way they were served, cold and certainly in a rush. The experience proved to be unsatisfying and left a bad taste.

We should have seen the signs when we made the reservations. At which, the maitre ‘d, Aldren, demanded that we select our food from the various prixe fixes selections A through F as well as la carte menu. First time we encountered ordering hours ahead before. dinner time of 7pm. Additionally, the waitstaff hovered over our table. It was almost like being watched on your every move. I am not sure if this is because of the number of diners that evening.

We asked our wait staff, why is food service rushed, she indicated that “ Filipinos prefer fast service”, which is total lie or fabrication. I understand this mentality for a fast food restaurant or a family-style restaurant where entrees shared are expected to arrive at the same time but our understanding is that this is not the image or vision for Joseph’s. We had to return our entrees for most of the evening because it was served cold except often the onion soup, which was served luke warm. The crepe dessert came in cold, which should have been served warm.

Finally, holidays season is over so please get rid of decorations! Additionally, the plastic gold and red chargers does not help evoke the image for the place!

To the owners and chef of Joseph’s, I do love the place and the vision for this restaurant but please make sure that your staff understands the vision for the restaurant, specially Aldren!

Kawit, Cavite equals Emilio Aguinaldo. Now who would have thought that Aguinaldo would have his own museum in Baguio, 270km away from Kawit? I like history, but museum guide Melay showed me a lot of things I didn't know about Philippine history in general and Aguinaldo in particular. I am just thankful that the Aguinaldo family preserved and put on display what they did--among which were the original Philippine flag raised in Kawit and the battle flag that Aguinaldo carried with him throughout his campaigns against the Spaniards and his protracted retreat from the Americans. Regretfully the panel detailing Aguinaldo's version of the arrest, trial, and execution of Andres Bonifacio was not yet ready when I visited. But that just gives me a reason to visit again!

Not worth the entrance fee. The artifacts are really good but all in all, the displays are very limited. All focused on the first floor. Other floors has nothing much in it.

The pieces were very well curated. Everything was so beautiful. The price was very cheap. A must-go visit when you go to Baguio.

We came in at 11:30am right in time for the mid prayers of the Pink Sisters. The entire congregation was in the chapel singging like angels. Always a highly spiritual experience.

Nice perfect view of the hills while getting drunk.
Perfect time to visit is at sunset of monsoon season to see the clouds about to blanket the hills.

I messaged their number to get a schedule but they never responded so I just walked in. Upon entering they asked me if I have a schedule. I said no because I thought walk in is preferred since they do not respond to my messages. They asked me what number I texted so I showed it to them. I confirmed that its their number in this branch (near sm).

I got irritated and told them, "i messaged you in this branch but you didnt respond. mag reply kasi kayo" ( i also read in some reviews that they do not respond in messages. Now, I experienced it, its true. They dont reply.

I think the lady in the reception area was also pissed as I was but still I asked calmly, "okay, so what time po pwede today?"

Then the lady in the reception area, nagdadabog siyang kumuha ng papel and told us in an annoyed voice without even looking at us "6PM, kahit 2 mins late, cancelled."

I just said okay and left. I was meditating in my mind and practicing self-control at this time.

    I came back at 5:15pm - don't wanna be late! 🙃

I think staff changed in late afternoon because I didnt see the lady. The new staff in the reception was more accommodating and allowed to have my full body scrub, massage, facial and foot spa earlier!

The full body scrub and massage is really good but I don't recommend you getting the facial because you can get in different salon that are experts in that area.

Full body scrub is Php 995 with sauna, bath, and massage. (Recommend)

So yeah, the staff here is hit or miss 👿😇. Just know the right service you need. And kayo nalang magadjust kung badtrip yung nasa reception. Lol

I had a hard time finding this shop. Initially followed the map but ended up asking around as I just couldnt find it. Good thing they were open til 8pm which allowed me a few more minutes to look around.
The shop was cozy and small, and I appreciated that they sold local books. They have a bit of international authors too.
I wish I could have had more time to go thru the books.

My wife and I and some of our friends went for a spa trip after a long day and we chose Nagomi. It's a nice place, lots of tables for plenty of customers. It was busy while we were there but didn't have to wait.

I had the Nagomi special massage for 2 hours. Sauna was offered as part of it but I declined. The massage was nice, the masseuse was pleasant and strong and the massage was fine overall. I'd had a massage at a little place on Session Road the week before and the masseuse was amazing, the best I've ever had in the Philippines. So after that, it was going to be hard not to be a letdown. It was still ok.

The ladies got body Scrub and massage. They did sauna before and said it was nice. They really liked the body Scrub and the massage was good for them.

One note that probably affected my overall score is when we went to use the men's restroom next to the sauna and shower, the toilet was filthy and unflushed. I almost vomited from the smell when I lifted the lid to use it. This was before we did the massage. Needless to say, that had an impact on my decision to use the sauna since it was just outside the bathroom that only has a curtain, no door.
