    Exceeded expectations by far !
We had Esteban as our guide and he picked us up at the hotel. We had 8 in our van and he was the best driver, guide, and companion on our day.

We had a gentleman with a bad leg who used a cane, and Esteban was BY his side the entire day to make sure he was safe and secure.

YOU HAVE TO DO THIS TRIP.
Spending 2 hours at the Embera Village is life changing.
You really get to spend quality time with the people and their kids. amazing.

We really enjoyed our Ocean to Ocean tour. Our guide, John, was amazing, and was a wealth of knowledge, not only about each sight, but answered all kinds of Panama related questions along the way.

The pre-tour communication was very clear, including the pick up schedule, which was great and worked out very well. Everyone on our tour was ready on time, and we were on our way to the first stop as scheduled.

The mini tour bus (a late model Toyota Coaster) , was very clean, and the cold water was plentiful and available whenever you wanted it, and the lunch provided was fresh, and prepared for us on spot.

I found this excursion here on Trip Advisor and as it had great reviews, I booked it.

Our guide was Alonso and he was very friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. He was easy to understand, and provided quite a bit of background on the Panama's history, culture, and practices.

We met near the cruise ship docking area around 9 AM and were back to the ship in plenty of time; I'd say the tour was roughly 5 hours. Bottled water and other beverages (soda, beer) were provided.

The driver was also very efficient.

This tour left me with a strong desire to take a cruise THRU the Panama Canal!

What an amazing tour! My 11 year old loved the waterfall swim and the food (fish, plantains and fruit) were so delicious. The Embera people were so hospitable and lovely. Make sure to grab some mamon at the fruit stand at the launch site. They are delicious.

Visiting the Agua Clara locks of the canal was a thrilling as the Miraflores centre. It was less crowded, had better viewing platforms and we saw more happening. The guide on the history of the fort was excellent, and during the journey to and from Panama City we learnt much about Panama’s culture and society. My only wish was that our forest walk had been longer, say an hour and a half rather than 30 minutes. Appreciate it’s a lot to fit into one trip.

Very challenging and rewarding adventure. Admittedly, it kicked my butt, but I am super glad I finished with my family and friends. Please remind Javier to bring his canteens and water the day prior to the trip as we had to improvise and get containers and coconut water from the locals.

Such a fun, pretty, exciting and AMAZING tour you have to try it it was great. I went on the tour with my mom and sister, but from when our tour guid picked us up I could already tell it was going to be amazing. Our tour guide Ben was so nice and it was a great plus that we were able to converse with him effortlessly on any topic. I had a really fun time zip lining and after riding horses AND we got to name our horses. We even got to see two sloths! We had a delicious home made lunch. Everyone involved with our experience from the guys running the zip line to Panamanian mama who prepared our lunch we’re very gracious and kind I DEFINITELY recommend doing the tour with Ben. Gracias!!

We had a great time taking our 14-year old grandson to see Fort San Lorenzo and Colon. The three of us were the only ones on the tour that day so we had our tour guide's undivided attention. Both guides (husband and wife) were very personable and knowledgeable about the area. They really enjoy the area and it shows! We had a great time at the fort, and stopping to take pictures of howler monkeys on our drive. The train ride from Colon to Panama City was nice and quiet with lovely views along the way. We were provided drinks on the mini van and snacks and drinks for the train ride. Our tour guides were waiting to welcome us back to Panama City when we got off the train and took us back to our hotel for drop off. We really enjoyed our day.

Mario is the best! From picking us up from the hotel promptly to taking us for snacks to navigating some pretty winding roads like a pro, he was top notch. He didn't try to make us stick to a script. He let us decide how we wanted the tour to go.

He's super chill and an easy going guy who makes you feel at ease. Had a wonderful time. Mamey Island is secluded and beautiful.

Rafael has to be one of the best tour guides that I have had on any trip. He was right on time and gave us a run down of the day. I learned so much about Panama and the countries rich history. He has beverages and snacks in the car and constantly checked to make sure we were comfortable.
One of the best parts of the tour was that we were able to edit the day as we went along. I will definitely recommend this tour to anyone going to Panama City and you want to see the sights.
    Hands down, the best!!!!

The Chagres Park and Embera tour with Eustacio was such a great experience! Eustacio knows all the people involved and is able to coordinate the trip very easily. We visited the village, went to the waterfall to enjoy and relax, then back to the village to learn the Embera history and current way of life. They had a snack of fruits while presenting, then served a lunch of fish and plaintains. Eustacio and the Embera guides were able to easily point out different birds, butterflies, and iguanas on our tour. Everyone was open and inviting, even sharing a tradional dance and invited us to join! They have lovely handmade crafts for sale which is a must to be able to share their culture and your adventure back home! Overall a very immersive and educational tour.

This was an excellent tour, departing from our cruise ship docked in Colon. Joe, our tour guide, was encyclopedic in his knowledge of Panama, and prepared us well for our visit to the village. On the bus ride the driver spotted a pair of sloths in a tree just off the highway and pulled over to let us out to observe them in the wild.
The canoe ride up the river was almost like entering a time machine, despite the modern outboard motors on the dugout canoes. The people were kind and welcoming, although they would probably rather be living as their ancestors did rather than have to resort to tourism - the National Forest that has taken over their lands doesn't allow them to hunt or cut down a tree.
Visit this place. Be respectful of these people. And learn something new.

Raft the Chagres with Javier and his crew and you will not be disappointed.

A beautiful river, an experienced guiding team, and plenty of great food along the way. You’ll have the river to yourself and camp under the stars each night. Most importantly, you’ll see firsthand how Adventures Panamá has worked with local communities for the past 30 years of responsible operation.

    Thanks, Javier!
