We had an exceptional experience at Gallery Okumbo. The tea ceremony was beautiful, including the antique tea cups. The sweets were delicious. The generous hospitality really sets this family business apart. The proprietor even produced a one of a kind artwork for us to commemorate our honeymoon. We recommend this place highly.

A veritable museum with both authentic and reproduced swords and armour. No one has ever made swords of the quality of Japan. Worth a look. In Toranomon not far from Toranomon Hills.

The Cover Nippon has eclectic and highly interesting collection of "Things Japanese" which, were it not a shop, would be a museum.

Nice things BUT…. Not a great part of town, other shops more convenient & just as nice! Dentsdelion is OVERPRICED! German husband owner curt, and rude. I was going to buy a lantern, but owner so rude, I left buying nothing. I ASKED him if I could take pictures, and he agreed. When I cannot see a price, I take a photo of the tag, expand it and look on my phone. I took only 5 pictures, and he very curtly said to stop. I don’t know what his problem was, but he lost a sale. There are several very nice antique shops in Roppongi and Azabujuban that are close together, easier to get to, have just as nice of things, and pleasant Japanese owners. I found the same lantern there for less. My daughter lives in Roppongi, said she also had a bad experience with this guy, but his wife is nice. I will NOT return! Not worth going so far!

This shop is a short walk from the Shibuya Scramble crossing and the Shibuya station. It is a great spot to select gifts and souvenirs that are good quality. The variety of items is similar but everything is well made. I purchased a kimono-style robe that was handmade in Japan - it's beautiful, and wasn't overly expensive. I recommend this little hidden gem.
