What travelers are saying
- Rani RMalang, Indonesia4 contributionsgreat place to hanging out with freinds, family or partner,
there were benches available to sit and relax,
a playground for children to play,
pigeons everywhere,
and it is close to Jami' mosque, so for muslim visitors you don't have to worry about coming at any time.Written August 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Each corner of this quaint village is adorned with whimsical murals, transforming ordinary walls into canvases of artistry.
While the village itself may be small, the impact of its vivid colors is immense. Walking through its narrow streets feels like stepping into a cheerful dreamscape, where every turn reveals a new burst of color and creativity.
Although the visit may be brief, the memories made amidst the rainbow-hued buildings will linger long after leaving. Rainbow Village is a testament to the transformative power of art and a must-see destination for anyone seeking a splash of joy and inspiration in Malang.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ChelviGanesanIpoh, Malaysia103 contributionsPasir Berbisik is another place people stop to take photos. You can hear the sound if the place is silent enough. You can choose to walk aroujd a bit too, but the view most probably would not be too different. Most of them take their photos on the jeeps here.Written March 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- OpaQLas Vegas, NV2,502 contributionsAlun-Alun Merdeka is also listed as Malang City Square on Tripadvisor. Both are the same place.
Nice place for morning or afternoon run/jog. It's also nice for small picnic with friends and for fun birdwatching.
Would be much better if the Alun-Alun have more big trees.Written February 18, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Naveen KAustin, TX6 contributionsPlease note that the GPS coordinates is incorrect. When at last mile look the Candi Jhago sign.
It's a bit harder to find but locals can help you out very well.Written January 11, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. + Good weather
+ Good scenery
+ Good variety of activities - enough to keep the family entertained for at least half a day
+ Mostly friendly people
A couple of not-so-positive points though:
- Slight language challenges for foreign visitors who don't speak Bahasa
- Prices for activities are not transparent. These are not clearly stated, and you have to ask to find out the price. Potentially a problem for people who can't communicate well in Bahasa, and also made us suspicious if different prices might be quoted for different groups of people.Written September 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Besides having a great view, this place provides many facilities such as pools, flying fox, ATV, etc and you can try them at an affordable price. It takes 2 hours to arrive here if you are from Malang, but after you get here, it will be worth it.Written December 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christopher PLegazpi, Philippines415 contributionsThis was a really colourful experience!! Houses, walls, passageways all painted, mostly in blue. We wondered what is their connection to Arema FC? Lots of plants along the alleys too and the "urban farm". A very good way of beautifying poor areas, let's hope they have enough money to keep paying to repaint their houses and walls.Written March 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
