This is a big park at the north east corner of Hefei’s CBD. Lots of locals just doing their thing. Some nice views to be had. Park is very well sign posted.

I like this place, it’s clean and beautiful and it’s very well localised! It’s basically in the middle of the city and around there are many shops and restaurants. The only thing that I didn’t like was the price, 20RMB each person and there was just a little bit things written in English, so if you wanna know about that place you should search by yourself before.

Very nice park with lovely city views. Relaxing area when you need a break from city life. Also good for a run if you love jogging.

We visited the east campus of USTC (known by its shortened name KeDa in Chinese). The university has been considered a top university in China throughout its history. We entered via the northern gate off of Huangshan Road (just east of JinZhai road). We had to ask permission to be let through the gates, but the guards were friendly and allowed us to enter. The campus has two nice, small lakes, lots of trees, and some quiet parks, surrounded by fairly ordinary buildings.

A very fine example of the Chinese Pergoda - and I love the lift to the top. We then had a great view of the partk and waterways below before walking down each floor to read and take in the historical displays. The area was very clean, uncorwded, informative and with the cherry blossoms just blooming, it was a great stop in our day at the overall park.

A beautiful place to go and see flowers in the spring, such as the plum blossoms (february) or cherries (march).

If you find yourself in Hefei as a foreigner, you already know it's not the most lively or touristy city. As someone here on business, I had a weekend to spend by myself.

My local coworker takes me to Wanda, a large shopping mall in the center of the city. Mix of Western and China-only stores here, many of them selling clothing. There also are a bunch of restaurants throughout the mall, from Western fast food chains to authentic Chinese restaurants. I had a hot pot meal, and as someone who eats hot pot quite a bit back home in the US, it was great--I am sure the other restaurants are decent as well.

In Hefei, it's hard to get around as a foreigner, but here you have the freedom to shop and it feels like any other mall you have been to. Interesting to see things that are only sold in China also.

Was there from May to Jul 2015, it was beautiful and clean because of the green trees and grass!)) In the park there are ponds with pontoon steps on them for you to step on to get across from one side to another. Then you can find ducks in the ponds too) Moreover, statues and monuments of Lu Xun is there, wonderful!

Well set out, this park provided a brief glimpse of the wonders of the Anhui province. We spent a day walking around the park and visiting each of the 'created' areas that showcase the uniquiness of the region. Cleverly arranged with clearly marked signage, the park provides something for everything and is certainly worth a visit.

Visited on a week-end - easy to get around; informative; you need a ticket but it is very cheap. The area was clean, required walking and some small garden and buliing areas might cause concern if you have prams or wheelchairs, but it is very worth a visit.

Yes, there are 2 museums, the original one is in the Luyang distrust and is the one I went to; the new one is near Swan Lake I believe.
I enjoyed this museum, they take their museums seriously here and it is famous in China and there are displays showing visits by Deng Xiaoping, many CPC luminaries, Zhou Enlai and the Great Helmsman himself. Those displays were fascinating for me as a history buff,
On the ground floor is an extensive history of the CPC in Anhui province, covering its formation, part in the rise of the CPC, the war against the Japanese and the civil war with the Kuomintang. It is covered meticulously and chronologically with great displays, maps, video and even interactive terminals. It does descend into flowery propaganda at times but that's the Chinese way.
There is the usual ceramics exhibit which is not my interest but I found the display on the modernizing of China as reflected in everyday life, to be really well done: such as the hairdressing salon, rooms in a house, a schoolroom and the rise of consumer goods displays. Panda and Huangshan brand early TV sets!
The main reason to visit this original museum would be for history buffs. There is enough English to bridge the language gap, no need for a guide really.
Admission is free and they will store your bag if you wish

Busy streets with shopping left and right. Huge Parkson at the end of the street. There's Starbucks and McD's, KFC and Pizza Hut.
