The beach is clean and fairly quiet. I wouldn't recommend opting for the private beach areas, the public part is good enough. We've been there on numerous instances and never were bothered by anyone. Some people will try to sell you stuff (drinks, tours) but they're not insisting and very polite overall. It is also safe at night.

It is my favourite beach in Dubai. It is clean and safe. Weekends can be very crowded and is stressful with parking unless you go very early morning. There are public showers and toilets but not everywhere. There are areas where you can swim at night too. Better take an umbrella with you but be mindful since it can get very windy sometimes.

At the heart of La Mer is its pristine beach, boasting soft golden sands and clear turquoise waters. Whether you're looking to relax under the sun, take a refreshing swim, or indulge in various water sports activities, the beach provides a serene and picturesque backdrop for your enjoyment. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and cabanas are available for rent, ensuring a comfortable beach experience.

An experience at Pier 7 is a culinary adventure that combines stunning views, diverse dining options, and a vibrant atmosphere. Located in the heart of Dubai Marina, Pier 7 is a unique waterfront destination that offers seven different restaurants, each with its own distinct cuisine and ambiance.

This is very interesting patriotic museum, describing the association of the Emirates into a single country. They have historical building, where agreement has been signed and modern beautiful building, which describes this process. They have different modern digital exhibits, along with private things of Emirates Sheikhs. Staff is very welcoming, many thanks to Kate, who provided us a guided tour when we came. Also they organise workshops even for kids. There is a nice park around the museum and a few visitors.

As the sun begins to set, the Dubai Canal comes alive with a kaleidoscope of colors. The surrounding buildings and bridges are illuminated, casting a radiant glow over the water, creating a magical atmosphere. The glittering reflections and shimmering lights create a mesmerizing backdrop for an unforgettable evening.

I love going to Mercato. It’s a traditional mall but with really cute design and architecture. One of my favourite things about it is it is very chill and not overwhelming. It might be on the smaller side for Dubai but there’s still a good variety of stores and cafes. There’s usually enough parking underground but there’s free overflow parking outside as well.

We arrived by Uber – the driver had no trouble finding the site. The first welcome was from the café, where a staff member directed us to the visitor centre. A security guard welcomed us to the centre and showed us where to start our visit, looking at a really well-produced interactive computer display covering several huge screens. The curator then joined us, told us about the site, and invited us to ask her questions at any point, or she could show us round the site if that’s what we wanted. We watched a video and then explored outside on our own, following clearly set out paths with informative signs at each location. Then we went back in and discussed the site with the curator. She was enthusiastic, very well informed, and an excellent communicator. They had run out of english language leaflets about the site, but she told us how to find the information online, and she explained what other sites we might find interesting. After our visit, we went back to the café for a late breakfast, which was excellent, especially the hummus and large discs of wafer-thin flatbread. We finished our meal and booked another Uber which was available immediately. We’ll definitely go back next time we’re n Dubai to learn new things about the culture and to get a break from the intensely urban city centre. (The website which explains the site in detail, accessed via QR codes on the display boards, doesn’t seem to be accessible from outside the UAE, which is a shame.)

Took my Mum and Uncle who are visiting me here today as my Mum asked to go to an art gallery. I said we don’t really have them here in Dubai but I was wrong! After a bit of online searching Pro Art stood out as worth a visit. It is a large gallery bursting with amazing pieces including Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, Dali and Picasso. We were given a tour by a lovely gentleman who knew the story of every piece and really brought our experience to life. Highly recommended!

The Majlis Ghorfat Umm Al Sheif is located near the Jumeirah coastal road in Dubai and is easily accessible by public transport. This structure, though small, carries historical significance as the summer residence of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the erstwhile ruler of Dubai and father of the current Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The entrance and walking path are surrounded by palm trees. The majlis is a two storeyed structure, with the upper floor having the majlis and two smaller rooms. The Majlis was where the Sheikh would often hold discussions with his advisers. One can see a good collection of the diwans etc. used in those days.

This is a well sized mall near the beach in Jumeirah.

There is a large Carrefour supermarket, a few good food and beverage outlets, including Wafi Cafe and Papa Roti.

The interior is clean and modern and there is lots of parking.

Visiting different art galeries in Dubai you get nice impresion of taste that has to grow. Some galeries show special local, artists, otters just sell post internationale art. The most beautifull galeries combine ancient objecten like wooden farmdoors with contemporary art.
