Had a walking tour with Michael. Excellent, learnt a lot and time flew by. So much history to learn and a way to look at the architecture in a new light. Highly recommended.

I booked this tour for two of us around Odessa. The price was good and I made contact with the company via WhatsApp. I asked if our guide could meet us at the hotel as I was worried about getting lost. As our hotel was central that was no problem and at 6pm the wonderful Michael was waiting for us.

Michael was a really interesting guy, very friendly, intelligent and excellent English. He immediately put us at ease as he walked us through the city explaining some highlights and allowing us time to take photos. We really enjoyed the tour, the time seemed to go very fast.

It was also a very clever tour as we walked in a loop and got a good sense of what Odessa is like. We loved how vibrant the city centre was and was really pleased to take this tour since Michael was so professional and a great guide.

We have just returned from a three day visit to Odessa. We arranged our tours with Olga at Odessa Walks by e mail. She was very accommodating taking into account my husband's difficulties in walking. She is a wealth of information, very personable and a pleasure to spend the time with. At her suggestion, we took the Odessa historical walking tour first to get a general background of the city and then the two Jewish tours. We were also very interested in seeing the residences of the Jewish writers and intellectuals as well and she also arranged that tour for us. We feel that we toured the city with a friend and recommend her highly. Excellent.

I had the Music Tour with Svitlana yesterday. We went through the main sights, with special focus on the musical heritage and personalities of Odessa. The guide has deep knowledge on the matter, and was very flexible to include points of interest along the tour. I highly recommend this tour for classical music buffs, if you want to get to know Odessa in 2 hours.

Unreal guide who has a unique eye for beauty and history. Absolutely fascinating tour of the estuary and the old health resort dedicated to the dubious all curing powers of the estuary sediments (aromatic mud). The contrast of buildings that have been maintained to those let waste is eerily striking. Egor manages to get you inside the operations and even have breakfast with the patrons. Sweeping panoromic views can be had from top of the derelict buildings. This tour was easily the highlight of my Odessa trip.

Roman is a true professional. He took care of the little details which made for a smooth, informative and interesting day in Tiraspol. During the trip to Tiraspol he listened, answered my questions and even adjusted a little to my interests He took time to learn about me and my travels. I couldn’t have been happier with the visit to the country which does not exist.
Once he learned of my interest in my Russian/German heritage he rearranged his schedule and took me to my German/Russian ancestors village in Bessarabia region of Ukraine the following day. This was a dream of mine to visit this village and he helped me fulfill this dream. He confirmed some of my research on the location of the village and showed up the next day very well prepared. He introduced me to the local librarian/village historian who gave me a great history of the village. I was able to walk the streets of my ancestors and now share this experience with my family.
Thanks Roman the great experience. I highly recommend his services.

Had fantastic trip to Odessa. Our guide, Corneliu Scurtu, was excellent and very knowledgeable. The city of Odessa is amazing and a ‘must-see’ in my opinion. It is on the world heritage list for a good reason.

Roman was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide, and was very accommodating. His focus is on excursions which are outside of Odessa and his trip was the highlight of our time in Odessa.

The tour itself revolves around going to a nature reserve, which has a cafe that sells oysters farmed in the lake, as well as other types of fresh caught seafood. Their food was fantastic and the place was only filled with locals showing it was a great spot.

I have been visiting Ukraine since 2004, and in that time I have only ever visited Odessa once, and it was only a rainy afternoon in the summer of 2005, where I saw next to nothing.

Fast forward to 2021, and I was traveling to Moldova via Odessa, so used the chance to see the city.

Looking around I found Odessa Walks, and the reviews were good, so decided to book a tour through them.

I know Odessa has a lot to see (both rich and poor sides) plus a very rich Jewish history on top of that, and this tour seemed right up my street as it covered EVERYTHING in Odessa, and when I asked if the Catacombs could be added in to my tour, they were more than happy to accommodate.

Olga was a complete joy to work with from first approach right through to the day itself, and really brought Odessa to life for me, with a very in depth history of the city, as well as taking me to find some more off the beaten track locations that I would never have found.

First part of the tour was a walk around the heart of Odessa, leaning about the origins of the city and the beating heart of Odessa, this was followed with a bit of insight into the writer Isaac Babel (I strongly recommend reading his Odessa Stories book, as you will visit a lot of the places that influenced his stories, and the people who potentially were the basis that were characters in his stories).

After a lovely stop off at a Georgian Restaurant for lunch, the afternoon section was a trip by car around Moldavanka, with more insight into area's away from the city.

Highlight of the day was the Odessa Catacombs, which were about a 15 minute drive outside of Odessa, but very much worth it.

Covering around 2km's underground, you get to learn about the history of the caves as a mine for building Odessa as it expanded with people moving into the area from other regions, and then during WW2 where it was used as a shelter for the Partizans fighting against the Nazi's.

    Really amazing stuff.

The day started at 10am, and I asked if I could be dropped off at Odessa train station for 6pm, and it was 5:45pm when I was dropped off at the front steps of the train station.

Olga is amazing guide and will teach you a lot about Odessa, so highly recommend this tour.
