Absolutely worth a visit. Unbelievable to imagine the horrors that took place at this park in Kyiv during WWII.

Parking was relatively easy and there is a metro stop nearby.

A reaaally pretty place to visit, especially if you love bridges and heights, with great view, i really loved it.
The only thing that was off about my visit is the crowd, it was too crowded for a place to be in quarantine period, but again i visited it on a sunday, obviously people want to go out n breath fresh air, so i can’t exactly complain about it.
But i seriously think that visiting this pedestrian bridge is a must for any traveler. Really pretty.

This is one of those things that you can stumble upon, be amused, and continue. It is adjacent to Mariinsky Park so can be accessed while strolling in the park. It spans the road beneath and the sloops down to the road. I strolled back and forth to view the locks and the scenery. On this October trip the leaves were still colorful and the few from the bridge was impressive.

It was closed due to a Rashist missile strike when I went there in October 2022. It was open when I visited in March 2023. The very solid bridge that offers a great view of Dnipro and Kyiv. It connects a large park around Volodymyr The Great Monument with Khreshchatyy Park providing a great convenience.
One needs to watch out for two pigeon scammers who gave me the worst experience in Ukraine. I went to Ukraine twice after the war started to bring my donated packages with items specifically requested by people from the frontline. I went there also to support their economy by spending and tipping liberally (I often tip 100%). Generally speaking, Ukrainians are very hospitable, and decent and act with dignity. The two pigeon scammers at the Gladd Bridge really upset me. They appear very friendly and offer their pigeons for taking photos. I knew that I would need to pay and be happy to do it to support people. After taking a few photos with their enthusiastic urge, I found they wanted to charge $20 for each photo with their pigeons. It takes a few seconds for them to offer their pigeons to take a photo. Their earning rate is like $1,000/hr. I don't think people in the most popular and expensive tourist spot charges at this rate for their service. These scammers really damage Ukraine's image. I hope Kyiv's police can do something about them.

We (a couple) were riding red line from the city center towards "Chernihivs'ka" metro station at the evening in order to catch a bus to Chernihiv. When our train passed this bridge, we were able to see quite good view to the Dnieper River and both right and left banks. On one of them, we saw Mother Motherland monument right from the window in front of us. However, it happened by chance and we doubt that someone would go to this bridge just for the view because it is a bit away from the center.

Meantime, passengers were entertained by a young musician singing a song by band "Bravo." His bag for donations was full of money given by those, who believe that he is a good musician, or cute, or even both.

In general, there are many other good viewpoints like Museum of the Great Patriotic War and Kiev Pechersk Lavra, where you can peacefully enjoy the view without being disturbed by loud moving objects. If not musician, we would give 3/5 to this place.

My twin brother Stephen and I had visited the magnificent People's Friendship Arch and also enjoyed the wonderful Christmas Market located up here and it was so nice viewing the wonderful and new Klitchko Pedestrianised Bicycle Bridge.
This beautiful bridge was opened in 2019 and connects Volodyrskyi Descent with Yevropeis'ka Square, from this bridge there are stunning views of the River Dnieper that offers some great photographic opportunities.
Well worth checking out if your in the area or planning on visiting Peoples Friendship Arch.

The Paton Bridge is a bridge that connects the left bank and right back of Kiev over the mighty River Dnieper, although nothing spectacular it is a rather cool looking bridge and is very very busy, although it's not a pedestrianised bridge and we couldn't walk across the bridge it was a nice sight to behold from the area around the Motherland Monument.
Worth checking out if your in the area.

My twin brother Stephen and I were exploring the area around Khreshchatyy Park and wandered along the Glass Bridge and from this bridge you have great views of the River Dnieper and its bridges spanning this mighty river.
Havansky Bridge ( Harbour Bridge ) is an eye catching bridge that is a relatively modern bridge that opened up for traffic on the 17th December 2007 to replace the now redundant Rybalskyi Bridge.
The bridge looks superb ,a nice arched bridge that makes for some great photographic opportunities and is easily viewed from the Glass Bridge in Khreshchatyy Park.
Well worth checking out if your planning a trip to Kiev.

My twin brother Stephen and I had enjoyed visiting the wonderful Peoples Friendship Arch and from the fabulous Klitchko Pedestrianised Bicycle Bridge you have great views of the mighty River Dnieper and the great bridges that span this body of water and in particular Rybalskiy Cable Bridge.
The bridge looks superb ,its a cable stated bridge that looks a solid piece of engineering, makes for some great photographic opportunities and is most definitely well worth checking out if your planning on visiting the People's Friendship Arch.
