What travelers are saying
- Sandy CEssex, IA155 contributionsWe visited this as part of a Quito tour and it was our favorite stop. Beautiful inside and outside. It has a mystical, serene aura.Written 27 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sheana MInverness, UK166 contributionsPlease make sure you are used to the altitude. The gondola ride is interesting and you can spend time at the top to take in the fantastic viewsWritten 23 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- GADawgGaSaint Simons Island, GA436 contributionsWe have seen churches and cathedrals all over the World. This one is special and unlike any we have seen. We learned about the history of the church and enjoyed our visit.Written 9 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- GADawgGaSaint Simons Island, GA436 contributionsThe old town is very historic and filled with buildings from 300 to 500 years old. You can walk the town. Traffic is bad in this city,Written 9 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sheana MInverness, UK166 contributionsWhat an amazing church. Well worth the climb to the top and the large stained glass window is beautiful. Give yourself plenty of time to explore and study this beautiful placeWritten 23 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Julie B13 contributionsThis was a gorgeous museum full of beautiful and very moving art. I felt badly that I had not heard of Guayasamine. His work is phenomenal. The guide explaining the art did a wonderful job. The tour of his Villa is also amazing. It was organized and well-done. Only $10!Written 4 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Amy CArizona117 contributionsWow, what an artist Oswaldo GuayasamÃn was- painter, sculptor, visionary - so much talent in one man, remarkable! The museum, along with touring is home were a highlight of visiting Quito. Plus the views of the city from high upon the hill where the property sits is amazing!Written 11 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- milomorganvilleEnglishtown, NJ68 contributionsWe had a great tour of the Equator with a really nice tour guide.
Would def recommend going here. It was very interesting to see the effect the equator has on water.Written 14 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Judith RCincinnati, OH278 contributionsThe views of Quito from El Panecillo as "must see" - and the ride to get there is an adventurous uphill climb. We did not walk into the statue but observed it from the ground. There are many touristy shops around the statue and places to grab street food.Written 6 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Annie InmanWashington DC, DC3 contributionsA wonderful place!! It's magical... the only thing I really don't like too much it was the weather... it was funny, in the morning sunny and I the afternoon it was cloudy, the rest was perfect!!!Written 14 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TrewinDorsetChristchurch250 contributionsAm not a church fan - but love a view, so we visited mainly to climb up to the bell towers.
The views were great, well worth the entry fee and the climb. Climb was not too steep or far. We also wandered the courtyards, museum and art collection, and exited through the church.
Clean bathrooms always a plus too !Written 2 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Bárbara NToronto, Canada72 contributionsNice park to go for a stroll any time of the day.
It's much bigger than you would expect in a first glance.
It has kids parks, basketball, soccer, tennis courts, weird art, a little pond with pedal boats, a botanical garden, a big running track, bike paths, a skate park, a dirty bike park and much more.
Bathrooms are available in lots of places and it feels pretty secure.
If you are a runner, this park offers many paths, so you wont get bored.Written 18 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Joseph Costa ErhayelFolsom, California9 contributionsLong, Narrow street with great nightlight, live music, and food. If you want to try some guinea pig there is a couple places that serve it here. Indulge in the culture!Written 25 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LondonTravelbirdLondon, UK136 contributionsThis is a beautiful little museum devoted to Pre-Columbian art (the art of Ecuador from the time before Columbus and the Europeans went to South America). The exhibits are fascinating, and the displays are not only beautiful, they are themed so you can understand their context. The information in the displays is very helpful. We visited when it was quiet, so it was wonderful to have all the exhibits to ourselves. There are occasional special exhibits - we saw lots of detailed little rollers (Sellos) used to stamp things with, sometimes used for tattoos. The museum is within walking distance of the Plaza de San Francisco, so you could take it in while strolling around the old city centre.Written 23 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Patricia S1 contributionBeautiful and safe place to go for an easy walk. Only very sad to get to San Pedro River at the end and see it so polluted you do not want your children to touch the sand or the water.Written 11 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
