Lives up to the clean, friendly and fun name that is universal. Much smaller than Orlando & LA parks, was easily covered in one day. Reasonable pricing, there were two areas under construction. Food was below average but overall a great day out and worth a visit.

I have been to aquariums all over the world (even interned at one back in uni) and this is a MUST visit for ocean lovers!

SEA Aquarium is AZA Accredited and it seems they treat all their animals well. From what I could tell, I saw healthy animals and the tanks were kept clean.

The aquarium itself has a lot of local species and species from around the world. Beautifully made, cleverly designed tanks, and overall just a fantastic aquarium. This is a great place for a date or to bring your family to get out of the Singaporean heat. There are some refreshments for purchase in the aquarium to cool off.

*The aquarium is very modern and well built for anyone with a mobility disability. There is plenty of hallway space and the main viewing areas are large with room to spread out. The whole area around the aquarium is quite nice and wheelchair-friendly with spacious walkways and elevators. I highly recommend coming to this area (even if you don’t go into the aquarium) since there is a lot of food and shopping!*

Went to Sentosa island and wasn't interested in the amusements but we were determined to walk Fort Siloso even in the heat. We took the skywalk and had some great advantage points. The fort was built in the 19th century and is still in very good shape today. There is a lot to see, but one good thing is there are plenty of water stations to refill your bottles along the way. Huge number of exhibitions and off the beaten path trails.
If your going for the day or staying on Sentosa, make a visit to the fort a must see activity. Highly recommended.

It is still a good place to enjoy sea breeze and sunset, fully accessible to wheelchairs and baby trolleys. However comparing to its opening time, it now looks less maintained and near abandoned.

It used to have sheltered escalators so you need walk little; and now they are all closed for quite long time and blocked by plants. Though you still can choose to walk under shelter.

Smoking is rampant including walking smokers, at least for the evening time I was there (when weather is not so hot). I am not sure the policy there though, but definitely this is not ideal for family travelers with young adults.

One end it links VivoCity. Walking to VivoCity is generally pleasant, except that you will encounter a row of large number of smokers occupying the best spaces at Waterfront Promenade that can enjoy sea breeze and sea view.

The other end it links Sentosa. The experience of entering Sentosa via boardwalk now is like entering a ghost town. Ticket office looks like not operating for a long time (as now it is free to enter); mini-mart is no longer there and it’s empty behind the glass. Especially during day time when it is hot, you may barely see any person. Yup don’t worry, you are entering the correct Sentosa.

You need make decision here: turning left (walk almost straight) to a cave under the big Sentosa sign, or turning right to walk along the buildings which still look like ghost town. My personal suggestion is to turn right for first time travelers, walk under the shelter walkway along the building, and enter the a bit dark looking Malaysia Food Street on the left. The food street may be the very first place still open along the way (and good air conditioned place to take a rest). After passing through the food street, you will arrive at the Universal Studio globe, and finally meet the crowd of tourists.

The highlight of this beach is the island. Very beautiful, lovely water, lovely swimming spot. A bit crowded, but ok. Some beach clubs nearby so a bit noisy as well. Well worth a visit though

I don’t generally like this type of entertainment, but was persuaded to visit. I enjoyed the history part, but as I had visited other history museums I felt it didn’t perhaps add as much to my overall experience. However it is certainly interesting for children and a great way for parents to encourage learning history. The celebrity part was for me rather boring, but again, it’s a matter of preference.

This is a free attraction of Sentosa Island, and worth a visit to understand the importance of Fort Siloso during the Wars.

We started at the bottom, and took the free elevator to the top of the skywalk, which afforded amazing views of both Sentosa and Singapore. Along the way there are shaded areas, and plenty of information boards to gather history.

Fort Siloso itself is a good piece of history for the area, and how it served as defence of Singapore. There are plenty of old structures to see, with lots of information.

    Very fun!

    Unique idea and executed wonderfully.

The flights were very short however, and it had a hefty price to do another flight (SGD$50.00).

    Enjoyable nevertheless! 👍

The weather was scorching hot this afternoon when I headed for Sentosa. But Telok Blangah Hill Top and Mount Faber Park are endowed with dense green forest with tall shady trees that shielded me from the piercing ultraviolet rays. It was windy but amazingly deafening was the cicada vibrating loud noise as I strolled past the thick green vegetation by the hillside. The challenging uphill climbs from Depot Road up Henderson Waves and Marang Trail was exhilarating, exerting pressure on the heart to pump hard and I was perspiring.

After the boardwalk, I reached Resort World Station intending to board the Sentosa Express to Beach Station, but the queue for the monorail was terribly long. Today is a public holiday and Sentosa is flooded with crowd. I decided to walk to the beach. It was a very short walk passing by the newly opened Sentosa Sensory Scape. From Palawan Beach, I hopped on the free beach shuttle tram to Tanjong Beach.

Tanjong Beach seems similar to the other two beaches. But I did not see any suspension bridge here. There is a little island not far from the shore and people just swam over to the island. Quite a substantial number of picnickers brought along their pet dogs and strolled with their dogs along the beach. Many ignored NEA advice on the hot weather and lie down half naked directly under the scorching sun. The pulsating music from the beach club added vibrance to the beach scene. Many sat with their friends at umbrella shaded seats or mats beside swaying coconut trees hydrating themselves with beers and drinks. I like the party atmosphere here.

Took the tram back to Beach station and boarded the monorail back to Vivo City. Back at Mount Faber Peak, saw the latest chrome color and spherical shape 4th generation cable car moving towards the Peak. These latest cable cabins started taking passengers only recently on 20 Mar 2024 at the company 50th anniversary.

On reaching home, I realised my step tracker had clocked 25 thousand steps. So near yet so far.
