The only decent place to yo in the South of Cebu is The Kawasan Falls in Badian. It is quite spoilt though compared to many years ago as they made it so commercial for tourist, and now you can only hi to the first falls. The rest for Canyoneering. Quite unfair but it is still worth going there. I just hope people maintain it's cleanliness. Filipinos are so bad in dumping their trash everywhere. Appalling attitude.

Perfect place after the shark whale swim.
Fun scoter ride to get there. So green and lush bamboo surrounding.
The fall is huge and was a sunny day to amazing view.
Great huge trees reaching the sky and the breeze of the fall is so smooth.
We could stay hours dipping in the fall.
    A must to see.

Visited as part of a private city tour. Very interesting tour with a guide who knew her stuff (and spoke impeccable English). Fascinating glimpse into Spanish/Filipino life from the last couple of centuries. It was also good to bring to life several stories I have heard about such life from my visits to the Philippines over the last 35 x years.

Amazing view and reasonable entrance fee ( php 100). There are food stalls and coffee shops inside, the ice cream is a ‘must try’.

Beautiful but no photography is allowed inside at all or any of the statues. Nice little gift shop. Long stairs if that’s hard for you.

Simala Shrine in Cebu is like stepping into a fairytale! This stunning hilltop castle is surrounded by lush greenery and colorful flowers. It's famous for its beautiful statues and grand altar, where many believe miracles happen.

Visitors can climb the stairs for breathtaking views, ring the huge bell for good luck, and explore a mini-museum filled with fascinating artifacts. Don't forget your camera, wear comfy shoes, stay hydrated, and be respectful in this holy place. Simala Shrine offers a magical mix of fun and spirituality

Fort San Pedro is worth visiting while in Cebu. The fort is small so it does not take a whole lot of time, I'd say 30 minutes to an hour max. The entrance was cheap, although now I can't recall how much it was. Once inside, you are free to explore the grounds. There are a few information signs worth reading. You can also walk the walls on the upper level. Overall, I'd say Fort San Pedro is worth a visit.

I got into a near-fatal motorbike accident last July (this year 2024) going to Osmena Peak. My partner and I decided to rent a motorbike and use Google Maps to get there, but Google Maps took us through a highlands route that was not safe. When we were found after the accident, we learned from the other riders and the hospital staff that that area is really prone to vehicular accidents, especially for unsuspecting tourists. No one (not the tour guides we talked to, not the hotel staff, not the motorbike rental business) warned us about anything. So everyone, please stick to the cemented safe road, and make sure that you hire a driver going to Osmena Peak instead of going by yourselves, because that other dangerous route was really no joke. I actually almost died, having rolled over the edge of the road, and am still dealing with the trauma of the accident. It took me a couple of months before I could write this down so I could warn other people.

The cross is cool but no more than a few minutes are needed. There are questions if this is the original cross or of the original is encased inside this one but it is still cool to visit. Lots of other sites to see in the area. It is near pier one so have a look if in the area.
