I found Cebu to be a bit underwhelming and am glad I booked a day tour to Bohol. Bohol was stunning and much cleaner then Cebu. This tour is a great way to escape Cebu and explore a different island. We were picked up from our hotel on time and brought to the ferry port. The ferry ride was about 2 hours then our guide picked us up on the other side. There was a lot of travel that day, lots of driving and boat rides. But the attractions on Bohol Island were all worth it. The church, Tarsiers Chocolate Hills, Coconut wine, and lunch on the boat were all fantastic! Our guide was funny and knowledgeable about the area. I highly recommend this tour.

We joined a Bohol Countryside Tour with Abraham Bohol together with mostly Western guests. The tour van fetched us at 8AM and we visited these these places:

    - Tibuok Salt Making Area
    - Tibuok Showroom Store
    - Coconut Wine
    - Chocolate Hills ATV (optional, some guests availed of this for an extra 1.1k, 1 hour)
    - Chocolate Hills View Deck
    - Bohol Man Made Forest
    - Loboc River Lunch at the Loboc River Resort (Food is paid separately, it ranges from P200 onwards)
    - Kayaking, Boating, Stand Up Paddle Board Rides
    - Baclayon Church

What I like about the tour is how it mixed the usual Bohol Countryside tour without the kitschy activities like the Butterfly Garden and Python Sanctuary. I was surprised though that the Loboc River Cruise—which was nice too—was not part of the tour, it was instead replaced by a lunch at the serene Loboc River Resort. And included with our lunch there were free kayak, boat, and paddle board rides. Not a bad alternative, if I may say so.

I also like how the tour went for the Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary, the more ethical and sustainable tarsier viewing site in Bohol, prioritizing the tarsier’s well-being over the viewing pleasure of tourists. We, nevertheless, still got pretty good pictures of the tarsiers, especially since our guide assisted us in taking photos.

And finally, I love the energy and insights of our guide, Jirah!

The tour was wonderful. Or driver was a bit quiet though, maybe a language barrier. The only thing I was dissappointed at was the fact that the Luboc River Lunch Tour we went on was not the origina one. We were taken to the Via Verde one? That didn't deep into the river as the original does where they have bamboo performance huts along the river banks with singers and performers dancing for you while you eat.

this island is a must when visiting leyte or cebu. its better to go there from leyte rather than cebu. the long travel hours from cebu then staying in the island for 4hours is not enough.

Whale sharks were so close! The Sumilon Island was so amazing. Depends on the weather but it’s so nice during our visit. :):)

The sunset views were gorgeous. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was amazing to watch the island “appear” when we arrived it was all under water. By the time we left it was an island

I really enjoyed all of the excursions and tours on CharlieTheTraveler’s Palawan Archipelago trip. I was impressed with the price for everything included in the tour. This company was so organized and timed out each activity very well!

Wear wet shoes/lightweight trainers, bring your go pro camera and bring some balls. This experience is NOT for the faint hearted or those with mobility issues. There are several falls and you can jump down all of them (if you’re brave enough). The longest jump was about 20-30ft, and We were given a friendly guide (Ryan), safety gears (helmet, life jacket and suitable footwear) and an experience we will not forget in a hurry. The whole experience took about 4 hours, and food were provided. Our guide was very friendly and looked after us very well. Our guide (Ryan) was more than happy to carry our possessions, and take photos/video records of our jumps/activities. We picked up a few bumps and bruises, hence the paperworks we had to sign at the beginning. This activity can be dangerous if you are not confident or you don’t pay attention. You can, however, choose not to complete any jump if you don’t want to, the guide will not force you to do anything you don’t want to do. This activity is a lot of fun and we are very happy to have taken part. Highly recommended!

This is a fantastic trip that doesn't require joining other groups, and it's one of my favorite experiences on Bohol Island! The journey takes about 40 minutes by boat (actual time depends on the sea conditions). Before reaching Pamilacan Island, the boat captain deliberately stops in the sea to call dolphins, and we were lucky to have nearly 20 dolphins come near the boat, leaping and spinning in groups – it was such a joyful sight! At this point, you might feel satisfied enough to head back to the hotel, but the best part is yet to come.

Near Pamilacan, we boarded a small boat to reach a snorkeling spot. Afterwards, we had lunch prepared by the locals on the island. Even though the coconut they served wasn't chilled, the food was incredibly delicious, so it didn't really matter, haha! Lastly, what I can't forget the most is lying on a hammock and leisurely enjoying the picturesque scenery after lunch.

The hotel was good on this trip, besides the one bartender hitting up on my girl I was with. Also I left a decent tip at checkout but they forgot to check the mini bar. I had drank a couple beers and ended up having to pay that which was way under the tip amount and basically another tip as I didn't have change then when they called and j had to leave with the tour guide that took us to the ferry to leave the island.

Then onto the tour itself. Wasn't bad persay. Lots of activities, not all that was listed when I booked tho as unavailable.

Main problem I had is I didn't know where the heck I was going daily, and during it the guide refused to speak much English to me directly even tho he knew it fluently. So I had to sit in the tricycle not knowing where I was going during and hearing him talk to my then filipina girlfriend the entire time without knowing what was even being said, even when I kept having to interrupt and ask where we were going after he was done speaking where in Filipino. My ex knew English fluently too. Just annoying when you are a tourist and don't speak that language and they keep looking at you as they joke and speak something you don't understand, and act like you do. Furthermore being I didn't know where I was going I wasn't dressed accurately each morning. I could have just went back in and delayed and changed each day but would have been better to know well before hand the expected day activities. They might have said a little prior, but not enough for me to understand with the stress I was already going thru.

Wasn't even able to go to kota beach, which wasn't directly their fault. However they made the problems worse with me and my then girlfriend which caused us to cut the trip short.

Overall 3/5 stars. I wish I could rate higher but the trip was already terrible for me because of the situation I was in, and that tour guide and bartender (not the owner bartender as he was great) wasn't making my vacation any better.
