What travelers are saying
- amanda_r_tSingapore, Singapore192 contributionsGreat experience, highly recommend. We stayed at the Four Points near the departure point so it was an easy walk over for us. We waited about 15 min for our boat to take us to the cave system. Once there, a super quick 2 min walk and straight onto the smaller boat to enter the river. Highly suggest water shoes or similar as you will get wet getting out of the transfer boat, and wear shorts! One woman we saw wore jeans and she must have been so uncomfortable all day.Written January 2, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chris B1 contributionTubbataha reef is an amazing diving experience. Beautiful corals, whale shark , mantas - all of it happened during our 5 day live aboard on amazing Stella Maris Explorer boat. It was a lifetime experience!Written June 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Czar EmmanuelManila, Philippines10,426 contributionsHonda Bay is one of the famous tourist destinations in Palawan. It's located less than an hour away from Puerto Princesa, which makes it ideal for a day tour. You just need to go to the Santa Lourdes wharf and take a boat from there for island hopping. Usual itinerary includes a visit to the Cowry Island, the Starfish Island, and the so-called Luli Island. All of these islands are good for swimming. You can have your lunch in any of them. Highly recommended!Written July 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TraveldadLondonLondon219 contributionsWe had a better experience than many (reading reviews below). Our guide was knowledgeable and explained a lot about how fireflies work and their habitat. It was silent going through the mangroves and there were loads of fireflies to see. Our package included a buffet dinner which we ate in the harbour rather than by the mangroves due to delays which leads to 4x review. Buffet was tasty but with many options on the Baywalk it wasn’t really needed and I would have preferred to eat before/after.Written November 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alex H2 contributionsBest beach with amazing waves that are huge.
Great spot for surfing and not too crowded lot of locals . Bit hard to get to with tricycle so it feels more remoteWritten January 8, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Beautiful sands and clear waters, and the water temperature is always just right. Definitely worth the trek from the city. It was even fun to watch all the boats going back and forth to underground river.Written June 22, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David BPasay, Philippines149 contributionsthis is one leg of the honda bay tour. swimming area with a lifeguard, numerous huts to choose from, open air massage, a buffet, adequate toilet and shower area--a good two hour island escapeWritten February 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Osama J22 contributionsThis walkway area is a nice place to be when it is hustling and bustling. There is plenty of great eats, a family environment, and a nice place to take a walk along the shore. There are tricycles available for transport. Highly recommend it. Only criticism is that the place to generally be kept cleaner.Written January 3, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sue R9 contributionsPuerto Princesa has fun mixed activities that suited both a 72 and 8 year old and those in between. We did the ziplining and spelunking at Ugong Rock. The day also included a tour of a small butterfly park and demonstration by indigenous Palawans. (30% of the 1 million population) . A small shop on the indigenous display side of the road had nice souvenirs. Perhaps the only place you will see the beautiful pheasant peacock and bearcat or binturong
You can also take an outrigger boat to the underground river which is beautiful and silent except for the slight slap of the single oar. An audio in multiple languages is available. A UNESCO sight well worth supporting. Also consider the night trip for the fireflies....and hope there is no full moon.Written December 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our guide explained that it is one of a number of “prison without bars” established by the United State in 1904. Inmates are required to tend tracts of farmland instead of languishing in cells. Not many guards in evidence, the few inmates spotted in the fields carrying out their duties in a languid manner. When we all disembarked the buses, the music began, inmates on a variety of instruments and accompanied by energetic dancers. A covered area showcased various handicrafts produced by the inmates in their spare time. Nice Rizah monument nearby. It is the largest prison of its type in the country, the entry gate controlled by one guard who gave us a cursory glance and waved the bus through with a smile.Written December 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hanna T5 contributionsThe place is not that bad, there’s a lot of butterflies, and other animals also. You will have a tour guide so that you won't get lost from the place and they will share to you a lot of information about the animals their. Plus a small village of what they call man cave or mountain mans.Written March 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
