- DipuKVPune, India3,383 contributionsBig Lagoon, one of the most visited spots in El Nido, is part of Tour A. The boat stops at a distance and you then go on kayaks to explore the place.Written December 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gian34lucaCesena, Italy7 contributionsPersonally, I think Napcan is the most beautiful beach in ElNido, 3.5km of Paradise with an impressive coconut plantation right on the sand.
You can swim, run on the beach at sunset, plenty of space no matter if crowded, you can find your privacy.
It’s also equipped with sun beds if you’re looking for a more comfortable sun bath.
Don’t forget to enjoy a massage in one of the multiple massage boxes along the beach.
It worths the 30-40’ min drive from town, better if your rent a scooter and you enjoy by yourself, cheaper and faster than the smoggy and super noisy tuk tukWritten January 2, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. After the driver drops you in front of the beach plaza…..just walk through for 5 mins to the beach. Once you reach there walk to the right side of the beach and go to extreme corner to view the spectacular sunset.
The beach and water is clean, so you can swim too. Number of beach side cafe and hotels are also available. After the sunset, you can chill any of those.

this place is quite unique. basically this hidden beach is accessed via two water channels and you dont see the beach until you completely traverse the water channel. one channel is very shallow, while another channel is deeper and can be snorkeled. saw clown fish (nemo) and an eel.Written December 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is located around 20 minutes away from the town and the name comes for the shame communicating an small illet with the mainland.
It is an awesome natural spot but unfortunately too crowded of tourists, even I'm one of them, and we saw some pollution on the area, that is very disappointing.Written June 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Patrick UnsonPhilippines4,284 contributionsThe view of the Secret Lagoon is just magical! It is very peaceful, beautiful, and simply great to admire as you look upwards, sinking your ears into the water and flapping your arms to stay afloat. While we were there, there was one orange flower just above the entrance to the Secret Lagoon, and that was beautiful as well!
As far as accessibility is concerned, I would not recommend solo travelers, seniors, PWDs, pregnant, or mothers with babies to go especially when the water is high enough. At the entrance, the water has a strong push. If pushed upwards, you needs to watch your head. And below the water are some rocks that you can bang your legs and feet against. You can still be careful but once the water pushes you, you have no choice but to go with it. Our guide got us through by having us lay on our backs, and he would float us right through with experienced timing. Our mother with a baby ended up staying at the beach with a cover until we were done inside.
If you get thirsty, you can always buy fresh coconut juice from the friendly men on the little boats. They will charge you for them when you get back to your main boat. It is about P100/buko during our visit. Sounds pricey but this money can help them a lot! They are even supportive to those who can't really swim, because they can paddle you back to your main boat if you need help or feel tired fighting against the current.
I also suggest waterproofing your mobile phones so you can capture pretty photos inside. I should have done this, actually.Written May 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I walked all the way down and spent some time under the palm trees and in the clear, aqua sea. Felt like I was on Survivor, no one around. Then, I rented a lounge at the beach club. It only cost 500php and that amount went toward any food or drinks (which I had both). What I thought would be an 1-2 hour visit turned into a full day of perfection.Written April 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. the viewing deck at the end of canopy walk provide you a vantage view of the el nido bay
spider web is optional extra. this faces the el nido town
entrance fees are cheaper on klook than paying in person onsite
all in all, a somewhat pricey excursion but the view on a clear day is worth it.
this is also the official route. the unofficial route starts at 4/5/6 am for a sunrise hike, and involves climbing and scrambling with no harnessWritten December 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. To reach this beach The map will show approx time about 48min, but… be honest will take longer as part of the road, especially that close to the beach will require your strong nerve system))) and good bike driving skills. Very bumpy because of the stones and slippery because of the high level of dusty sand. Was hard for us, but we made it. The beach is beautiful as others beaches in el Nido. We didn’t catch waves but we spent nice time and left earlier because of the condition of the road and there is no light on the street. That time water was with small jelly fish, so kids didn’t want to swim as found them. In conclusion, the beach is beautiful but really hard to reach and it’s most likely other beaches in el Nido. If you are not serfer who is hunting for waves then you can skip it or use assistance to reach it.Written March 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Patrick UnsonPhilippines4,284 contributionsWe traveled here to do some peaceful and enjoyable snorkeling. There was a bit of a current so it gave us, including our guides, an extra swimming challenge. Ocean water and sunlight were just so relaxing and the fishes were colorful, mostly various shades of blue during our visit. I tested the water without a vest and I am happy enough to say the ocean would not let me sink. I am not sure if that is a good thing for freediving, but for one who relies heavily on vests, this was really comforting. For once, I finally felt I have braved the ocean, a few seconds at a time, that is!Written May 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
