- WriterchickieLos Angeles, CA185 contributionsI had the best experience with El Nido Yacht Club even as I’m not sure it can be replicated. But if you find yourself in this situation, this is what you do:
They tell you straight up that they need a minimum of six people signed up for a tour (this one was the Whole Day Premium Catamaran Group Tour.) We were five, but when asked, we all agreed to split the cost of the sixth ticket in order for the tour to not be canceled. The result was an amazing day as we had this huge yacht to ourselves.
There is plenty of shade on the boat (one of the reasons I picked it) and also a not-scary bathroom on board (another reason I picked it). and plenty of spaces to spread out. They don’t have alcohol on board, but I believe you can bring it with you. Even if not, there are guys with boats and coolers at the island hopping stops that you can buy beer and rum in coconuts from.
Our tour guide was Mhamar, and he was the best. Super personable, helped me as the solo person take cool pics of myself, and also took group shots. Wear your swim shoes in the water at the island hopping spots, there are sharp rocks.
Communication via email is great. - charisse_may1 contributionWe did a private island hopping tour with Palaweña and it was an amazing experience.
I contacted a number of suppliers preferred by our hotel (Seda Lio) and Wineth from Palaweña was easily the most responsive and knew exactly what we’d need as a family with young kids.
Price-wise they were on par with (if not cheaper than) other suppliers but I feel that we definitely got bang for our buck with the exceptional service we received on the day:
- Pick up and drop off straight from the beach at our hotel AND a flexible start time meant that we never felt rushed.
- 5-star service from the entire crew. Our guide JM was extremely attentive, polite and hard-working. He made sure the kids and adults were well looked after. He did all the paddling for us through big lagoon, swam and snorkelled with the kids and took the best photos. He even came back to our hotel that evening to drop off some items that we accidentally left behind!
- Package includes everything you need from a delicious lunch (with a gorgeous set up), kayaks, reef shoes, towels and snorkelling gear. These were generally an added cost with other suppliers. The only thing I’d note is to bring your own kids reef shoes as they don’t have these sizes.
- A customised itinerary meant that we did 5 stops across multiple tours, almost like a highlights tour which was perfect as we were only in El Nido for a short time and didn’t have a chance to do multiple day tours.
The list goes on. Jay, our tour guide was energetic, friendly and very knowledgable. He gave a lot of insightful information about each of the stops and kept the tour moving at a great pace --- just enough time at each location.
It was a mother / daughter trip for me and my 7 year old and we had an amazing time on the tour A full day trip. The team—Rafael (our guide) Rico, and Ian were great! They were well prepared for the tours and helped us with whatever was needed. Everything ran smoothly and on time. We were served a delicious lunch on private beaches with no one else around. The whole tour was simply amazing! I thought to myself it was definitely worth getting the speedboat as we passed banka boats and arrived at some of the beaches before any one else did. - Adam9 contributionsBooking a private boat tour with Poseidon in El Nido was the highlight of our trip! From start to finish, every moment was pure magic. Excellent communication from Princess. The crew was not only professional but also incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home as we set off to explore the breathtaking islands of Wl Nido. The set itinerary was perfectly curated, allowing us to discover hidden gems and pristine beaches that felt like our own private paradise. It also allowed for some flexibility so we could continue when we wanted. The captain's expertise ensured a smooth trip while the lunch exceeded our expectations. It was an unforgettable experience shared with friends, and we can't wait to book with Poseidon again for our next adventure in El Nido when we come back. - GlobeTrotting401531London, UK12 contributionsNice speed boat, friendly staff, good food, good music, however we were dragged around with no chance to choose where to go, what to do, or how long we wanted to stay in each place. They Neptune team was having more fun doing they things they wanted (taking photos, swimming, kayaking, hiking, while we waited for them on the boat.
The tour guide apologised in the end and understood our feedback. They are young and just opened this company. They definitely need more experience so I hope this feedback helps them.
I do still think they offer something unique compared to the big tour companies in El Nido. With some adjustments they will do well.

- Shaye Z2 contributionsNot happy with this company and its complete lack of service. They sell false tours and blame it on other companies when what they promise is not delivered.
Firstly we paid for an early pick up for 8am and to finish the tour at 3pm, we requested no lunch so we could get to see all the destinations we planned with them. We waited for a boat until 9am which put us behind schedule. We went to the 3 out of the 5 locations and were dropped back off at our preferred location at 2.
During the tour I got a call from the manager of the company that Happiness organised, she called saying that we will get dropped back off (this was 11am) when complained this was not what we paid for, they continued on with the tour and still dropped us off early.
When we went back to Happiness that night they called in the manager from the boat/other people they organised us to go through and put us in the middle of their argument of he said she said. NOT professional in any means. The lady gave us 1000 peso of the 10,200 we paid. The lady assured us that this never happens and that they were really sorry and offered another tour we could put the 1000 peso towards. We should have just walked away in hind sight, but we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and book an ATV tour for the following day.
The tour was sold as 1hr ATV ride.
We paid for two ATVs, unfortunately my partner got sick and was not able to attend. I went alone and they were unable to refund the other rider which I totally understood.
It takes half an hour to get to ATV, I jumped on the ATV and was guided by the owner on my lap, so it was very slow and couldn’t go in front. I was then dropped back after half an hour instead of an hour. When complained Happiness called the ATV company who said I did the full hour and won’t refund. I left Happiness at 9am, have photo proof of starting the ATV at 9.45am and photo proof of being back and in the van heading back to Happiness at 10:10am. I was then dropped off at Happiness at 10:40am and they said it was not their problem EVEN THOUGH I BOOKED THROUGH THEM.
I RECOMMEND NO ONE TO USE THIS COMPANY! They do not sell what they promise, say that it has never happened before, and don’t compensate if things go wrong!
