- Fav FiveZurich, Switzerland18 contributionsSnake island is one of the stopovers in the island hopping tours departing from El Nido. It is located around 20 minutes away from the town and the name comes for the shame communicating an small illet with the mainland.
It is an awesome natural spot but unfortunately too crowded of tourists, even I'm one of them, and we saw some pollution on the area, that is very disappointing.Written June 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The crew of our boat had to throw the outdoor furniture into the water before floating it to shore!Written November 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. While the downside is that the caretakers collect entrance fee which should have been already included in the tour, the view from the a very brief climb to the rocky mountain looks superb.Written February 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sstaleyUpminster, UK1,000 contributionsThe island looks like a helicopter from afar – very unique island in Bacuit Bay. Great atmosphere very laid back & relax – perfect place to chill out & unwind. Perfect place for swimming, gentle waves and clean water – the whole island is untouched.Written January 23, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Value of money is great not too expensive for the great experienceWritten March 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The highlight is to visit the Cathedral Cave. You should swim in it as the local boats are too big to enter. You don't need any torch light as there is plenty of light. Beautiful blue color of the water with school of small fish at the entrance. You can climb on the rock at the end of the cave and explore by foot an extra back part of this big cathedral!Written April 19, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Katy SantosPhilippines519 contributionsI went here before the pandemic - Bubog Island is a go-to public island where local residents use for drinking sessions and swimming. The calm and clear seawater is really inviting for a quick sea dip while the mild warm sunlight is perfect for sunbathing. Just beware of coral snakes that are nesting under the huge rocks of the Bubog Island. Coral snakes are one of the most venomous snakes on Earth however they're harmless unless threatened! Remember to always respect the natural habitat of marine wildlife. The island itself has a lot of shattered bottles that's why it's probably called as 'bubog island'Written July 9, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
