- CaitlinCAPasadena, CA29 contributionsWe enjoyed visiting the Underground River, however our visit was delayed 2 days because of weather conditions. The Coastguard shuts down the visit if waves are too high. This is because it's a beach landing at the site. You may have to wade a bit to disembark. Even on approved visit days, if the sea is not calm it could be challenging for senior citizens to embark and disembark. The crew was very helpful with my 84 year old father. He is still very active but needed assistance. There is a short walk through jungle to reach the lagoon where you board the boat to tour the cave. The caves were very interesting. They are far from other tourist areas of Palawan. I would prioritize this site behind the island hopping at El Nido.Written February 15, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CaitlinCAPasadena, CA29 contributionsOur visit to Nacpan Beach was ok. When we walked away from the crowds it was beautiful. The sand fleas were active. The facilities were rustic and restaurant selection just alright. The paved road to get there ended before arriving to the beach. It continued as muddy unfinished road with very large deep dips. We were worried the van would get stuck. The Instagram reels of the beautiful twin crescent beaches are misleading. The path between the two is unclean and has pig pens. The other beach is unkept.Written February 15, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DipuKVPune, India3,404 contributionsBig Lagoon, one of the most visited spots in El Nido, is part of Tour A. - Fazal Mahmud RoniDhaka City, Bangladesh802 contributionsJust 10/12 mins away in Tricycle from El Nido beach. One of the best sunset experience of my life.
After the driver drops you in front of the beach plaza…..just walk through for 5 mins to the beach. Once you reach there walk to the right side of the beach and go to extreme corner to view the spectacular sunset.
The beach and water is clean, so you can swim too. Number of beach side cafe and hotels are also available. After the sunset, you can chill any of those.
Must Visit for Sunset.Written October 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. this place is quite unique. basically this hidden beach is accessed via two water channels and you dont see the beach until you completely traverse the water channel. one channel is very shallow, while another channel is deeper and can be snorkeled. saw clown fish (nemo) and an eel.Written December 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are a couple vendors selling drinks and snacks and not much else. Seems like every boat in El Nido makes a stop here so don’t expect solitude. Hike to the top for great vistas, and walk on the sandbar to the mainland if the tides are favorable. Fun.Written February 15, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Czar EmmanuelManila, Philippines10,221 contributionsHonda Bay is one of the famous tourist destinations in Palawan. It's located less than an hour away from Puerto Princesa, which makes it ideal for a day tour. You just need to go to the Santa Lourdes wharf and take a boat from there for island hopping. Usual itinerary includes a visit to the Cowry Island, the Starfish Island, and the so-called Luli Island. All of these islands are good for swimming. You can have your lunch in any of them. Highly recommended!Written July 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- David NLondon219 contributionsWe had a better experience than many (reading reviews below). Our guide was knowledgeable and explained a lot about how fireflies work and their habitat. It was silent going through the mangroves and there were loads of fireflies to see. Our package included a buffet dinner which we ate in the harbour rather than by the mangroves due to delays which leads to 4x review. Buffet was tasty but with many options on the Baywalk it wasn’t really needed and I would have preferred to eat before/after.Written November 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Beautiful sands and clear waters, and the water temperature is always just right. Definitely worth the trek from the city. It was even fun to watch all the boats going back and forth to underground river.Written June 22, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - R J582 contributionsThis was an unexpected surprise as much more beautiful than the photos. Paradise! I walked all the way down and spent some time under the palm trees and in the clear, aqua sea. Felt like I was on Survivor, no one around. Then, I rented a lounge at the beach club. It only cost 500php and that amount went toward any food or drinks (which I had both). What I thought would be an 1-2 hour visit turned into a full day of perfection.Written April 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A decent beach for a walk but not a dreamy white sand beach but it does have some local character and is far better than the beach at El Nido town. For the stunning beaches head offshore on one of the many island hopping trips or travel 40 minutes north by tricycle, shuttle bus or rented motorbike to Nacpan or Duli.Written February 15, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 𝐂𝐎𝐂𝐎 𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐒Philippines40 contributionsEverything but the best. White sand, beautiful water, relaxing place. We paid 100 pesos for the entrance fee since its a private island and its not included in some tours. But its all worth it. This is the highlight of my travel vlog.
