- CaitlinCAPasadena, CA29 contributionsWe enjoyed visiting the Underground River, however our visit was delayed 2 days because of weather conditions. The Coastguard shuts down the visit if waves are too high. This is because it's a beach landing at the site. You may have to wade a bit to disembark. Even on approved visit days, if the sea is not calm it could be challenging for senior citizens to embark and disembark. The crew was very helpful with my 84 year old father. He is still very active but needed assistance. There is a short walk through jungle to reach the lagoon where you board the boat to tour the cave. The caves were very interesting. They are far from other tourist areas of Palawan. I would prioritize this site behind the island hopping at El Nido.Written February 15, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - doctorfoxtrotTaguig City, Philippines13,331 contributionsVisiting the cave entails timing . Entering is a physical challenge somewhat. Need to contort somewhat. Inside is a beauty with several rock formations. Passage of light inside makes for good photo opportunities.Written May 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Astrid C2 contributionsDefinitely worth it! Super trip! It's exactly the cave exploration I had been looking forward to. The tour guide was very friendly and enthusiastic, and even my elderly mother was very well guided and taken care of!Written February 3, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - pfefmeisterSan Francisco, CA4,484 contributionsOur boat was small enough to fit through the entrance and, once inside, very impressive. At the back end the cave opens up to a hole in the ceiling which brings a shaft of light into the dark recesses. Quite an impressive set. I guess if your boat can’t squeeze in, you could swim in, but everyone else was just poking their head in.Written February 15, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ian WPalawan Island, Philippines11 contributionsGreat ride from el Nido on scooter..free open road with no traffic away from el Nido town...I found the cave and the fact they have discovered human bones some 15,000 years old. Tiger bones to!. The road is now fully concrete to this cafe from el Nido. Well worth a visit..in your way back watch the sun set at nacpan beach..Written April 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RagTopGuyPortland, OR65 contributionsWe really enjoyed the adventure of this caving experience. One thing I do caution. To get through many of the tight spaces in this cave complex, no one with a larger than a American size 38 waist should attempt this adventure, Sorry. I am right there, and it was a real question if I would be successful, or stuck, and need rescuing with oil poured over my back and belly to get through. If you do make it through, the rewards are impressive. A wonderful adventure, especially for the kids.Written November 23, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ondřej KLausanne, Switzerland11 contributionsNice cave, totally different experience than touristy caves in Europe, some bats and strange animals living there.Written December 18, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
