- amanda_r_tSingapore, Singapore192 contributionsGreat experience, highly recommend. We stayed at the Four Points near the departure point so it was an easy walk over for us. We waited about 15 min for our boat to take us to the cave system. Once there, a super quick 2 min walk and straight onto the smaller boat to enter the river. Highly suggest water shoes or similar as you will get wet getting out of the transfer boat, and wear shorts! One woman we saw wore jeans and she must have been so uncomfortable all day.Written January 2, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gian34lucaCesena, Italy7 contributionsPersonally, I think Napcan is the most beautiful beach in ElNido, 3.5km of Paradise with an impressive coconut plantation right on the sand.
You can swim, run on the beach at sunset, plenty of space no matter if crowded, you can find your privacy.
It’s also equipped with sun beds if you’re looking for a more comfortable sun bath.
Don’t forget to enjoy a massage in one of the multiple massage boxes along the beach.
It worths the 30-40’ min drive from town, better if your rent a scooter and you enjoy by yourself, cheaper and faster than the smoggy and super noisy tuk tukWritten January 2, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The boat stops at a distance and you then go on kayaks to explore the place.Written December 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chris B1 contributionTubbataha reef is an amazing diving experience. Beautiful corals, whale shark , mantas - all of it happened during our 5 day live aboard on amazing Stella Maris Explorer boat. It was a lifetime experience!Written June 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Fazal Mahmud RoniDhaka City, Bangladesh819 contributionsJust 10/12 mins away in Tricycle from El Nido beach. One of the best sunset experience of my life.
After the driver drops you in front of the beach plaza…..just walk through for 5 mins to the beach. Once you reach there walk to the right side of the beach and go to extreme corner to view the spectacular sunset.
The beach and water is clean, so you can swim too. Number of beach side cafe and hotels are also available. After the sunset, you can chill any of those.
Must Visit for Sunset.Written October 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. this place is quite unique. basically this hidden beach is accessed via two water channels and you dont see the beach until you completely traverse the water channel. one channel is very shallow, while another channel is deeper and can be snorkeled. saw clown fish (nemo) and an eel.Written December 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's located less than an hour away from Puerto Princesa, which makes it ideal for a day tour. You just need to go to the Santa Lourdes wharf and take a boat from there for island hopping. Usual itinerary includes a visit to the Cowry Island, the Starfish Island, and the so-called Luli Island. All of these islands are good for swimming. You can have your lunch in any of them. Highly recommended!Written July 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Fav FiveZurich, Switzerland18 contributionsSnake island is one of the stopovers in the island hopping tours departing from El Nido. It is located around 20 minutes away from the town and the name comes for the shame communicating an small illet with the mainland.
It is an awesome natural spot but unfortunately too crowded of tourists, even I'm one of them, and we saw some pollution on the area, that is very disappointing.Written June 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our guide was knowledgeable and explained a lot about how fireflies work and their habitat. It was silent going through the mangroves and there were loads of fireflies to see. Our package included a buffet dinner which we ate in the harbour rather than by the mangroves due to delays which leads to 4x review. Buffet was tasty but with many options on the Baywalk it wasn’t really needed and I would have preferred to eat before/after.Written November 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Patrick UnsonPhilippines4,284 contributionsThe view of the Secret Lagoon is just magical! It is very peaceful, beautiful, and simply great to admire as you look upwards, sinking your ears into the water and flapping your arms to stay afloat. While we were there, there was one orange flower just above the entrance to the Secret Lagoon, and that was beautiful as well!
As far as accessibility is concerned, I would not recommend solo travelers, seniors, PWDs, pregnant, or mothers with babies to go especially when the water is high enough. At the entrance, the water has a strong push. If pushed upwards, you needs to watch your head. And below the water are some rocks that you can bang your legs and feet against. You can still be careful but once the water pushes you, you have no choice but to go with it. Our guide got us through by having us lay on our backs, and he would float us right through with experienced timing. Our mother with a baby ended up staying at the beach with a cover until we were done inside.
If you get thirsty, you can always buy fresh coconut juice from the friendly men on the little boats. They will charge you for them when you get back to your main boat. It is about P100/buko during our visit. Sounds pricey but this money can help them a lot! They are even supportive to those who can't really swim, because they can paddle you back to your main boat if you need help or feel tired fighting against the current.
I also suggest waterproofing your mobile phones so you can capture pretty photos inside. I should have done this, actually.Written May 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
