Very nice beach with rock pools. Quite nice for paddling your feet and swimming in when the tide is low. You have to pay entry of around 60 pesos (I think) each for entry, and an extra 5 pesos for a bike fee. This doesn’t include parking though so you have to pay for this too, which is 20 pesos. Unfortunately there are a lot of kids on the beach who pester you and want to take you to the rock pools for a fee. This got really annoying very quickly, and they only left us alone after about 20 minutes of harassment once I raised my voice and almost shouted at them. Just beware of this and try to stay clear and not let them ruin the experience.

The island is literally naked and bare so it’s the perfect spot to get away from it all. We brought wine glasses and bottles of rosé which we sipped while watching the beautiful sunset by the shore.

One of the highlights of my trip to Davao City. Instead of taking a taxi or Grab, I decided to take a jeepney ride. Take a jeep to Calinan Transport Terminal and ride a van with label “CALINAN”. Travel time is approximately 1 hour. I asked the drover to drop me at Calinan Market and from there, I took a pedicab towards Philippine Eagle Center. My fare totaled to almost ₱300 instead of the ₱1,300++ if I took Grab.

Take time to observe the birds and be respectful of the surroundings (no noise is allowed, no littering, no scaring the animals, etc.). Try to leave some tip as well as this will go to the management of the center. Don’t forget to bring some insect repellant. Mosquitoes are everywhere!

The only thing that I didn’t like is the small enclosure of the majestic Philippine eagles. I wonder if they get depressed inside their very small and restrictive cages!

After my visit, I went out to the highway and hailed a pedicab and headed nearby Malagos Garden Resort (fare is ₱30).

From Malagos Resort, I went across the highway and took a pedicab towards Calinan. I asked the driver to drop me at “L300 or Taloda”. From there, just ride the van going to Roxas Night Market (just across Ateneo De Davao) for a sumptuous and cheap dinner.

Part of a Tri-Island tour (along with Guyam and Naked Island). The beaches were pristine and the food spread was amazing. The waters were crystal clear and the locals were very friendly. Make sure to get a tour guide that fits your preference. A must-try during your Siargao getaway.

A short 15min boat journey from the main Camiguin island lies this beautiful little island. A good way to waste half a day snorkeling, with food and drink available. One note of caution, take beach shoes as the coral washed up on the beach can make it quite uncomfortable to get in and out of the sea.

If you have a private vehicle then this is a place to go to as this is quite far. If you want to go there , come before 12noon so you wont miss the feeding time for fishes. Bring a swimming outfit if tou plan to swim there but mind you the water is quite deep so you need to rent a vest.

Going down wqs terrible with hundred steps to take but worth your sacrifice upon reaching the majestic waterfall. The cold and crystal clear water refreshes you and the thrill of riding the bamboo raft to go near the waterfall was amazing!

People’s Park was located across the road from my hotel.

    It is a four-hectare wide cultural-theme park.

    There is no entry fee.

It features lots of greenery, shade and seating areas and many sculptures.

Worth a visit when in Davao.

We took an organised boat trip, and it is quite a long way to reach the islets. The group of islets are spectacular. We landed on a sand bar, which gave a good opportunity to relax and take photos. The trip lasted about 2 hours.

Relaxing and pleasant visit. Good roads. Lack of instructions though as to which areas we can swim at.

Can go here even when it is rainimg but bring umbrellas because there are not enough tables with cover.
