Thus tour allows you to get away from the busy streets of Manila with a relaxing view of Taal Volcano, Palace in the Sky as well as drive by city of Las Pinas in the outskirts of the city.

Weather is cooler in Taal and the view is spectacular. You might also enjoy lunch or snacks at the Taal Vista Lodge.

We rented a van through the sightseeing tour for the day or actually for 2 days. We had 6 of us in the travelling party & wanted to show some of the party the Tagaytay sights. We stopped for Lunch & then proceeded to have a driver tour of the Tagaytay region. It is well worth the effort to travel here. Its about 90 minutes from Makati. The views of the lake & volcanos are spectacular. The views as you drive down the side of the mountain are amazing. We returned via Cavite & it was a great route to take with exceptional 'photo opportunity' spots along the way. Well worth the effort & a nice break from the craziness that is Manila Metro.

    Experience:
Seeing the lake inside the volcano crater which is surrounded by another lake was beautiful. Standing at the summit and seeing both lakes separated by the island in between was well worth the trip. We had lunch organised by the tour and had some nice side trips to the Tagatay look out and local fruit markets. Good if you want to get out of the busy smoke of Manilla for a day trip. Get back with plenty of time for night life.
    Itinerary:
Started the day with a 6am pick up for a pretty smooth 1.5 - 2 hr car ride to the boats. From there it's a 20 mins boat ride across to the island before the hike up taking about 30 mins by a local guide. Quick hike but it does get steep near the end. Bring a bottle of water. Option to walk to summit for additional 50Pesos per person is well worth it.
Once you take in the view at the
Top and get all your instagram photos done its a hike back down and boat ride back across. Lunch then Tagatay Lookout, fruit markets. We had some time to spare to feed the koi fish at the local lake in Nuvali.
    Tour:
Really glad we managed to find this tour last minute. Paulo from Yolo Travel was an excellent guide. He spoke English well and taught us a few things about the Phillipines.

We took a Great Sights Tour which was very expensive ( 4800 pesos) but worth the experience.

On arrival, there was a welcome drink and toilet facilities. We were then taken on a Cart Ride with a guitarist and singer on board, round the estate. Next was the private museum that belong to the owners of the estate. It was interesting to see the various floats parked in there for the use of festivals. The museum also gave us a good insight into the politics of the Phillipines.

Next, we were taken in the cart again to the changing rooms so that we can wear gear more suitable to the waterfall restaurant. Bring a change of clothes, towels and jandals. The restaurant has all of its tables in water. The water level is about knee deep. The floor of the waterfall is quite slippery. So ladies, do accept the waiters' hands to guide you to the tables.

The buffet lunch was excellent. A good variety of fish, chicken, beef and vegetables. You need to pay for drinks because that is not included in the tour price. There are no utensils for lunch. Hence bring some disposables with you. The waterfall is just in the background and so you will get sprayed if you sit too close or if you want shots by the waterfall.

After lunch, you can go for a good dip in the swimming pools nearby or try your hand at steering a boat by the river.

This is an all day trip and a very enjoyable one until you hit the traffic going back to Manila. That itself can take a few hours.

Awesome experience!!! Driver Paulo got to my Airbnb right on time but my date was a little late so he said he would wait since there was no one else riding with us. After 20 minutes we saw her and headed out. He asked if we were hungry and we stopped by this restaurant that he chose (Wyndells Al Fresco) and the view was beautiful. After a quick bite we got to our destination and our guide Alma was extremely helpful! Word of caution: pack very lightly! The trail was arduous but worth it. Then take a dip in the river. But only in a certain spot because the current might be a little strong. All in all this is definitely worth it and I’m coming back. Another huge plus was that it was just me and my date and the guide Alma said this was the first time there have only been two people. Probably helped that it rained the previous day and scared off a lot of people and it was the middle of the week so it was nice that we got to engulf ourselves in nature. Then we get back a couple hours later and our boy Paulo waiting for us at the van. That’s some major patience there!! Props!
