The visit to the fruit stand and the souvenir mkt and feeding the koi fish . The tour guides were very knowledgeable and always ready to offer an explanation and go the extra mile .

Learned so much on this tour. Our guide (Anne) was super friendly and knowledgeable. It's a beautiful but sad place and having someone to explain all the background made our experience more meaningful with the context.

Our guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. He was patient (as I hadn’t rode a bike in years) and he was thorough! My favorite thing we did on island!

Awesome experience!!! Driver Paulo got to my Airbnb right on time but my date was a little late so he said he would wait since there was no one else riding with us. After 20 minutes we saw her and headed out. He asked if we were hungry and we stopped by this restaurant that he chose (Wyndells Al Fresco) and the view was beautiful. After a quick bite we got to our destination and our guide Alma was extremely helpful! Word of caution: pack very lightly! The trail was arduous but worth it. Then take a dip in the river. But only in a certain spot because the current might be a little strong. All in all this is definitely worth it and I’m coming back. Another huge plus was that it was just me and my date and the guide Alma said this was the first time there have only been two people. Probably helped that it rained the previous day and scared off a lot of people and it was the middle of the week so it was nice that we got to engulf ourselves in nature. Then we get back a couple hours later and our boy Paulo waiting for us at the van. That’s some major patience there!! Props!

I did the Ultimate Manila Food Tour. I was picked up at my hotel and driven to Chinatown. From there, it was a walking tour. We went to several restaurants, food stands, and shops. All in all, it was about 10 samples. It was a lot of food, so come hungry! The guide was very generous with her time, explaining things about Filipino culture and life. The stops all seemed very authentic, with lots of locals visiting the same places. To me, despite being an experienced traveler, Manila seemed an inhospitable city for me to tour on my own, so this was a nice way to get out of my room and really see something. I would definitely recommend!

Miller is a local in the village of Batad and can safely guide you across the beautiful rice terraces. We did a small trekking and stopped at the village to learn and experience the local rice husk removal technique. If you want to arrange for a pick-up from the hotel, Miller can arrange for a Jeepney to travel to the hike starting point. Highly recommended experience & guide.

An amazing trip to North Luzon with Yolo Travel!

We contacted Yolo to arrange a tour of North Luzon’s rice terraces and surrounding area. The remit was broad, only that it was for two people and should be 6/7 days. Paulo at Yolo was amazing. He very quickly proposed an itinerary which covered all the parts we wanted (including some we had never heard of), as well as advising on the best times to visit and what to bring.

Our tour covered Banaue and the surrounding areas (Batad, Hapao, Tapiya Falls) before moving on to Sagada (Sumaging and Lumiang Caves, surrounding waterfalls, Blue soil and Hanging Coffins).

Yolo arranged all the transport, guides and accommodation, making this a very stress-free trip. We did a private tour for two people, meaning that everything was done at our pace, which was especially appreciated after a few days walking the rice terraces! We had separate guides for Banaue (Abner and Mulin) and Sagada (Rex), all of whom were local and very knowledgeable on the area and local culture and customs, couldn’t recommend them enough.

We had amazing time and will definitely be using Yolo again for future trips, thank you!

My partner and I did a weekend hike in the rice terraces outside of Banaue. In the lead up to our trip, Uncharted Philippines was very helpful and responsive and we felt very well prepared for the journey.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the overnight bus ride to reach Banaue from Manila is tough going, but that is out of the control of Uncharted Philippines. Our guide Jody met our bus in Banaue and took us to a local inn, where we had a good breakfast and left our suitcases before heading off.

The rice terraces are incredibly beautiful and Jody, a local of the area, gave us some really interesting insights into the farmers' way of life. My partner and I are both reasonably fit and still found the hike itself quite challenging, but ultimately very worthwhile.
