- Tim PHampshire, UK329 contributionsVisited as part of a private city tour. Very interesting tour with a guide who knew her stuff (and spoke impeccable English). Fascinating glimpse into Spanish/Filipino life from the last couple of centuries. It was also good to bring to life several stories I have heard about such life from my visits to the Philippines over the last 35 x years.Written May 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Emil JoyQuezon City, Philippines89 contributionsWasn’t able to go out of town for our 6th anniversary because I just came down with the flu. Luckily, beau was able to come up with last minute plans and decided to go here. I’m always a museum girly but there is something about this place that feels peaceful. Hopefully, we can comeback with friends to catch up since they have multiple cafes inside.Written June 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Czar EmmanuelManila, Philippines10,230 contributionsThere are actually three national museums close to one another in the Rizal Park area ... the National Museum of Anthropology, the National Museum of Natural History, and the National Museum of Fine Arts. Each has its own particular collection. You can visit any of them depending on your personal interests ... History, Art, etc. Entrance is free. They are closed on Mondays. They do get a bit crowded on Sundays. Queues can also be quite long and slow as they manually register guests. Collections are well-arranged and properly labeled. Some galleries are closed. Lighting system can be improved. Perhaps they need to add more elevators to give visitors easy access to the upper floors. Parking is a bit of a problem as there are very limited slots. Lastly, they could put up souvenir shops and nice restaurants as well.Written June 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alicia29 contributionsTo summarise: do not skip this one!
I had such a great time here and the pieces were awesome. My favourite sections were the video interactive ones (you’ll understand when you visit).
I recommend getting there first thing (they open at 11am) as it is less crowded and it gives you more time to take as many pictures and videos as you'd like. I spent roughly 2 hours and by 1:30pm, a bus load of people came flooding through.
It is very kid-friendly as there are many attendees who will assist you if needed (even help take pictures) and they clearly hold up “do not run” signs. But this is also a great place for adults to visit (I had a great time!)
N.B.: shoes/being barefoot is not allowed and you will have to deposit your shoes at the entrance, so don’t forget to bring your socks (but I think you can purchase from them if you forget). The place was very clean with people even lying/sitting on the floor, but they do provide beanie bags to sit on in one of the rooms.
Entry for adults was PHP 850.
This is definitely a great place to visit if you have the time.Written April 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - irenevffDasmarinas City, Philippines5,711 contributionsthis attraction has a pink church inside that was converted into a museum that contain lots of artefacts and antiquated memorabilia way back the spanish era. you can spend a lot of time roaming inside this place before you head towards the picnic grounds submerged in water.
to get to the dining area, you need to ride a carabao wagon for about 5 minutes or longer depending on your whim to take pictures along the way. locals would ride with you to serenade you with folk songs that our foreign guests could not understand but was clapping and foot tapping with the rhythm just the same.
the fun part was the lunch. it was a gastronomic array of filipino dishes that could be enjoyed while listening to the rapture of the man-made waterfall and the feeling of the cold water on your feet. it was a different vibe that only villa escudero can offer.
a 30-minute cultural show capped our visit. it was fun and an exciting display of different dances around the country. the dancers and the audience both enjoyed the performance.
for a 1,800/head price, this is already reasonable. we could have opted to stay overnight but all rooms were booked during the weekend we visited.Written September 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Javier Q1 contribution¡The Bencab Museum in Baguio is simply spectacular! From the moment you set foot in this cultural oasis, you are captivated by the beauty of its exhibitions and the serenity of the surroundings.
The museum houses an impressive collection of contemporary and traditional Filipino art, with masterpieces ranging from vibrant paintings to fascinating sculptures. Every corner of the museum is carefully designed to inspire and educate its visitors about the rich history and culture of the Philippines.
In addition to the amazing exhibits, the Bencab Museum offers stunning panoramic views of the green hills of Baguio, creating a truly magical environment to enjoy art and nature at the same time.
The museum staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to provide additional information about the artworks and the history behind each piece. Most of the pieces on display are masterpieces of the famous artist Ramon Orlina. They evoke different emotions in each beholder. They're not only mesmerizing themselves, but the lovely location of the museum matches their beauty. The museum is located in Tagaytay overlooking the Taal Lake and Volcano. Entrance fee is only Php 150. It's a four-level museum with an observation roof deck and a wonderful garden with sculptures. Guests will definitely find the place worth-visiting. Highly recommended! đź‘ŚWritten June 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Robert GauntSaskatoon, Canada2 contributionsI thought it was an impressive building my only critique is that there is no mention of evolution ( only changes over time )
Very disappointing keeping this from the population
You get a sense of how powerful the Catholic Church is in the Phillipines

There is an entrance fee if you want to see what's inside the house. The fee includes a guided tour, a cup of hot chocolate, which I really love! The thickness and texture is just right and it is served along with biscuits. You can also buy the chocolate and biscuits on the shop located in the ground of the house.Written July 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
