Not a big fan of beers but.... their beers are a total exception. As someone who is fond of mangoes, their Guimaras Gose is a show-stopper. Who would've though that mangoes and beer go well? Certainly coming back for more

Nice perfect view of the hills while getting drunk.
Perfect time to visit is at sunset of monsoon season to see the clouds about to blanket the hills.

Compared to the rest of the groceries/liquor stores around Coron, LiquorLand prolly has the most reasonable price & widest selection. Conveniently located along the Coron Highway, you are confident that you are liquor-backed for your pre-games or simply a carry-on on your island hopping sesh!

There is no single "Nipa Wine Distillery" as such. Contrary to what you might gather from the guide books and other sources, there are many Distilleries located in the low, swampy area northwest of Butuan City where the Nipa grows in abundance. The people there welcome you openly as they do not get many foreign visitors. Not much english is spoken, however. Most of them are accessible only by walking though the area on wet, muddy paths, but a couple can be reached by trike.

These are small family operations and gives you a glimpse into everyday life of these people. Yes, the area is rustic and not very clean, but this is the reality of the conditions these people live under. They make the "wine" the same way they did 200 years ago and perhaps longer! I received samples when asked and was able to purchase from several of the distilleries I visited.

If your looking for a sanitized tourist experience, don't go. If you want to experience the true culture and lifestyle of these people, then definitely make the journey.
