- queklSingapore, Singapore196 contributionsEven if you had been to the valleys of kings/queens and the Temples, it is still worth giving this museum a visit. Some pieces which one does not see out there can be seen in the museum.Written August 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert DBrooklyn, New York4,257 contributionsThis magnificent tomb is worth the extra ticket you need to purchase to enter. Nefertari was the principal wife of Ramesses II. Notice Nefertari's dark skin. She was a Nubian. The tomb is richly decorated and quite impressive.
I later found out from my tour guide that Nefertari's tomb closed for renovations the day after we visited. We were among the last tourists to be able to visit it.Written May 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We went before visiting the Museum of Civilization in Cairo, and having been to their tomb made seeing the mummies of Ramses V and VI more meaningful.Written July 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter F5 contributionsGreat little tourist souvenir shop in the center of Luxor. It has all the usual stuff but with fixed prices and without the usual haggling stress. They are also willing to personalize a lot of the items.
It’s really the only shop you need for your holiday souvenirs.Written August 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - atef S4 contributionsDuring my visit to the city of Luxor, I did not find a bazaar for antiques and gifts except through this bazaar. Nobilis has conscientious management. I highly recommend visiting this place. I will definitely visit it againWritten July 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Susan CMelbourne, Australia1,539 contributionsKV 2 Ramses IV is a corridor tomb with colourful paintings and sunken reliefs along the walls, ceilings and pillars of all of its 90 meters in length. One of the corridors has a decorated barrel vaulted ceiling. The burial chamber is the only room with side chambers and also contains an enormous sarcophagus under a colourful ceiling decorated with a picture of the goddess Nut. You can visit it as part of the three tombs included in the Valley of the Kings entry fee and our guide suggested it as our second picks (ie tombs 4-6) to visit.Written April 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - geelongexpatMelbourne, Australia1,237 contributionsGood value for money at 160 EGP. You get to see a mummy and some mummified animals. The baboon was cool. There are also tools and a few coffins too.Written July 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Susan CMelbourne, Australia1,539 contributionsThe corridor tomb of KV 6 Rameses IX descends gently through three corridors, the first one of which has four side chambers, then to two chambers, one unfinished with pillars. It is famous for old graffiti on the upper parts of the wall. Half-height glass panels protect the walls. The steeper descent to the burial chamber is blocked off and appears to be undecorated. You can visit it as part of the three tombs included in the Valley of the Kings entry fee and was our guide's picks for our second day (tombs 4-6).Written April 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Liz CGreat Barrington, MA47 contributionsBest craft gift shop in Luxor! Really nice old-style Ushabti , scarabs, Bedouin jewelry and dresses, baskets, and nice reproduction tomb models made of wood. No hassle atmosphere. Take tea with the owner and take a good look around. Some unusual and hard to find items.
