Mount Monserrate

When you get up to the mountain you get a breathtaking view of enormous city, rich green nature, cathedral, restaurants and a souvenir market.
Make sure to go both up and down the trails that leave from the churche as you can see the via dolorosa represented in 14 sculptures along the park.

The nature is amazing, just outside of the big city and you feel you can breath fresh air again, you dont hear anything except for some birds.
Parque Central Simon Bolivar

During papa Francisco visit to Colombia this park was a perfect scenery for the epic Mass with more than 1.2 million people in a perfect mystic union.
The park is quite large so you can take a leisurely stroll, rent a canoe, paddleboat, or watch one of the many informal games of football(soccer) going on.

Must do if you are in Bogota, one hour away on bus, plenty of restaurans on the weekend and the cuban restaurant inside the park is very good open week days.

A big plus is that you can park in the street because there is people taking care of the cars for just a few coins (not 100% safe but i've done that a hundred times and it turns out well).

Beautiful park surrounded by coffee shops and cafes - perfect for a quick wander or a longer opportunity to sit, escape from the bustle of Bogota and people watch.
Lovely park located in center of town and I was attracted in after seeing a large congregation of people who were assembled to watch opera performed live on stage with the Bogotá Symphonic Orchestra.

... in Chapinero, through the comuna and along several major roads, and you will all of a sudden find yourself hiking along a creek through a forest that would fit in nicely in Shenandoah National Park in the States.
Is a very nice place to visit, for a morning you escape from the city to get in touch with nature again.
